[align=center][div style="borderwidth; width: 450px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 12px; font-size: 8pt"]alright, while i'm not from texas or any southern state i come from a state where the idea of being "country" is basically all we're known for. like, sometimes i think it's worse than texas because i once had someone ask me if i knew what wifi is because they genuinely thought we all lived like fucking hillbillies like it's valid because it's fucking nebraska and 95% of the time no one even knows we exist. like, if you think texas is bad you should hear some of the stereotypes from people from nebraska like one dude from washington d.c. on a field trip thought we were still fighting with native americans like... bow and arrow kind of shit, like, how do people even EXIST WHO BELIEVE THIS.

i might be the only one here with a completely positive view? i love country, i love it with my whole heart because it's not terrible and i think that if people were to find some songs they liked they might not be so hateful towards it? people hate on modern country but modern country is still good and while i prefer old country there's nothing terrible about modern country? they had to become modern because everyone hated old country when old country was around so like. yeet. also, not all country are sad songs like if you hit up some dolly parton she's got some fucking bops that are just feel good songs. it's not even a guilty pleasure of mine i enjoy it wholeheartedly foiejfweffwf

then again, i'm also one of those people who enjoy all genres of music and even if i don't like a good portion of the songs i like a few. so, like, i can never say i completely hate a genre.

Re: question for all of my fellow southerners (and others??) - waiakea - 06-16-2018

texan here. i don't.. hate country, and i don't think i could considering the town i grew up in has literally only one pop station and the rest are country so i'm p used to hearing it? in my childhood home it was either country music or .. traditional native american music which was kinda terrifying to me for a while lmao. i just never got super super into it and i prefer the "city" sound bc it's where i'm accustomed to living now. but like, dolly parton? reba mcentire? garth brooks? my CHILDHOOD
