Derek is a solitary man. Even before the apocalypse, Derek preferred to be alone. He had his reasons for wanting to be distant from others. He doesn't like sharing his past life with anyone. Since the apocalpse started, he will help those in need, but he doesn't take on partners since he doesn't want anyone weighing him down or becoming his problem. Deep down, he's a sweet and emotional guy, but he will rarely let that show.


Derek had been traveling alone for the past year now. Ever since the start of the apocalpse, he had been wandering about the world. He had no real destination in mind. Derek just sought out shelter and supplies and went from there. However, now that it was becoming winter, snow had started falling and the days were growing shorter and colder. So he had made himself a camp in the woods. He managed to fortfy it, making some fences and barriers around a small premise. He managed to snag up a tent, so he used that as shelter. He hunted in the woods for food. For now, he was doing well.

leon was exhausted. he had been walking for days now, and he hadn't seen any sign of food. not any that was edible, at least. he looked around, squinting against the sunlight and moaning slightly as his stomach grumbled and walked right into what seemed to ba a wall.. a wall in the middle of the woods? he looked up and rubbed his forehead. "the hell..?"

Derek has been sitting by the campfire he made when he heard footsteps. He quickly grabbed his gun, getting to his feet. He then slowly moved over to the barriers he set up. He stopped when he spotted Leon. He frowned.

“Hey stranger.” He greeted, eyeing Leon.

leon looked to him and blinked. "hey yourself.." he muttered. "have you got some food?"
