dog walking | open - Paige - 12-17-2020
After the raid by her former group, she started to make sure she brought at least one dog with her at all times. In this case she brought two - Atlas and August - and she brought August purely because she knew he would attack. She looked over to Felicity, who was holding the leash she used for Atlas doing her best to walk him. Originally she had wanted to walk August but Paige didn't completely trust that so eventually the waddling one-year-old settled for Atlas.
"Where we going, peanut?” she asked, the two of them simply walking the dogs as an excuse for Felicity to be able to get energy out. "dada" "We can't go try to find him, Licity. We have the doggies, remember? We got to go home” she didn't get an actual response, mostly just garble that didn't make any sense to her. She didn't exactly expect Felicity to know how to get home, but Atlas was rather smart and was doing a good job at getting the waddler home. It was more he was walking her than her walking him, but Paige would give Licity the credit.

He had a family this time, one which he could not bear to be without. In this life, it felt as if family would come and go with each passing tragedy; this time, he begged for this family of his to be a more permanent part of his life. Mickey, Tamara, Arlo, Paige, Felicity… He didn’t want to have to live a life without them, and so the uncertainty of whether or not The Badlands would attack again scared Green to death.
He walked down the street, hands in his pockets comfortably as Midas and Ginnie scampered after him, stopping every once in a while to have a sniff of the world around them. That was until Ginnie spotted Atlas and August, the plump dog darting ahead to get a closer look at the two large dogs whilst Midas warily stayed back. The sight of Felicity brought a smile to Green's lips, approaching his daughter and her mother before he met with them. ❝ Oh my days, Licity; look at you! ❞ He smiled, leaning down to hold her free hand in his own as he then gently shook her hand from side to side, ❝ So big, walking a doggie on your own! ❞
Releasing a gentle huff, Green then looked over to Paige as he straightened up again. ❝ How’s everything been? I feel like we’ve not gotten to talk in a while. ❞ He cracked a caring smile. He’d do anything to make sure Paige and Felicity were okay, especially with the threat of another raid right on their heels.

— addy couldn’t say he was one of the most wary people ever since the raid. in some ways, he seemed almost relatively unfazed compared to most. he was used to this sort of thing. after all, shit happened, he guessed. people had to get used to the fact that not everything would go to plan, and bad shit would happen to decent people. still, as unfazed and uncaring as he came across, there had been a certain relief at the time when he found out nobody was hurt. that when they had raided the clinic, they hadn’t injured lucerne in the process… he tended to keep those “softer” feelings and other bullshit to himself, though.
“oh my days, licity; look at you!” he turned his head towards the commotion - the commotion, unsurprisingly, being no one other than green. he watched as he fawned over the little girl, scoffing gently to himself. walking a doggie on her own. big deal. he felt tempted to stay out of the situation, but he couldn’t help but wander closer, hands in his jean pockets. “in a few minutes, that dog’ll be walking her.” as if that wasn’t already the case. it still felt like just the other day felicity was just a little baby, unable to hold her own weight, let alone walk around with a dog on a leash. “she’s grown up fast.” perhaps kids were a bit of a soft spot after all.

As the smaller dog came over, Paige made sure that August didn't go after them. Atlas she knew would be fine, the dog was no threat to Felicity and thus she knew Atlas wouldn't have an issue. High excited squeals came from the toddler as her father approached, causing Paige to laugh at the realization her little girl's hunt for her daddy was a successful one. But her attention went to Addy when he spoke, making her laugh "If she had the dog I have, maybe. Atlas is a pushover with her though, she'll be fine.”
She then looked back to Green, shrugging at his question. "Alright, my world revolves around her and after the badlands thing I'm scared take her anywhere without the dogs...hence the dog walking. But otherwise, I'm fine.” she told him with a small smile, looking back to the little girl who seemed to gain the attention of Addy "Oh, I know Addy.” she sighed, looking at the little one-year-old who was at this point just talking to herself and flailing around the leash as Atlas waited patiently.
"Listen Addy, she's a lot more fun than a baby. If you want to babysit, let me know. I know you don't like kids but, I think you'd get along with her.”
