it was probably first year tbh!!!
breccan loves herbology so so much and is really good at it, so what if navy was struggling with it during a class and breccan came over to help? he probably wouldn't have even noticed at first, and thennavy would be like "what the fuck. you have my face" and then bam. friends

navy isn't as good at things like herbology, potions, or care of magical creatures, so that definitely would make sense
also thats definitely something he would say
then maybe they started spending a ton of time together and became known as the terrible two or something tacky like that

i was watching merlin and i couldn't stop laughing because i thought like
when testing out the polyjuice potion they would totally turn into each other like
out of everyone in the entire class they would partner up with each other and do the weasley "we'rE IDENTICAL" and everyone else is like "NO SHIT U HOES"

when in reality he's really most like to ron whoops

i think breccan is very confused on where he stands romantically with navy because he knows it could be a possibility but like. he wouldn't want to ruin their friendship so i have this hc that one day navy just swoops in and kisses him and at first they're like "what the fuck" and then like "OH okay. that was pretty cool actually"

like he just craves love and attention and so the fact that breccan provides it just sets off internal screaming in navy's brain, like this boy doesn't even know how to comprehend his own emotions so one day he just says fuck might as well and sWOOPS IN
he'd just be so nervous and awkward more so than usual, that is one day & breccan is just confused as heck
