★ He ran off from Northstar with a bag of supplies on his horse on January 9th, 2018

★ Had his ID revoked and made to repay double everything he stole

tbh i feel like ace might actually like ellie; they could be friends (or at the same time they could be enemies because they are very similar from what i can tell, and ace doesn't get along very well with anybody anyway) and since she's slightly younger ace might feel like she's someone he can snark with? like, frenemies or something? idk
lani and ace might also get along but also might end up hating each other, because they're nearly polar opposites in some ways but similar in others. lani is optimistic and respectful and not a jerk, and ace is disrespectful af. ooh maybe ace could get annoyed by the language barrier, or he could feel like he should help lani?? it can go either way
pretty much that's how things go with ace—either you're his friend or you're his enemy, there's no in between lol

Ooh I like the idea of Ace and Ellie being frenemies. Like, there’s a moment where Ellie gets the impression that Ace is nice because maybe he does something to help her but then he starts to act like an asshole, which pisses her off. She especially has low tolerance now and she has no problem with standing up for herself. They act like they can’t stand each other but there’s those slim moments where they actually get along whether it’s doing small things for each other or actually conversing. Either works, really
I think it’d be interesting if Ace got annoyed by the language barrier because even though it’s frustrating for mostly everyone, I don’t think really anyone has gotten annoyed by it yet. Perhaps... Lani is able to read his body language and how he rolls his eyes and such and that’s where his snark comes in. But he says it in such a casualty where Ace probably wouldn’t even realize Lani is talking shit lmaooo

well yes if ace was nice to ellie once then he'd feel the need to push her away so that is a totally reasonable reaction, but he would definitely help ellie with something if she seemed in need, because that's probably the only way he'd even offer to help (he hates being emotional so he's no help if she's in need of emotional help, but physically like if she needed help he would definitely take pity on her & help) but yEAH i like that idea, it reminds me of my brother and i lmao
i can see lani calling ace a bastard or smth i just looked up samoan swear words and i love it and ace has no idea what he's saying so he just nods along irritably "yep, definitely. totally" because ace would be super condescending about lani not knowing english
