historically, meetings weren't really coves thing. she wasn't the sociable sort, not to mention that the weeks of sickness the pregnancy had gifted her with had left her exhausted and restless. she didn't look great, walking into the room with disheveled hair, tired eyes, and a baggy sweater even in the warming weather. but she was up and moving around, so she ought to get points for that, right?

This was the most people she'd seen gather for one of these meetings in a while, not that she was complaining. Okay, maybe just a smidgen as it seemed everyone there had arrived before her, which was just a bit embarrassing. Nothing she couldn't handle, though. She'd been in worse, more uncomfortable spots before.

"First things first, everyone give a warm welcome to Ruslan. If he needs any help adjusting to life here, you give it to him. Or at least send him my way." She had no qualms about helping him, or anyone else for that matter. Not when she was clear-minded, when Adelita was difficult that put a strain on her personable nature, making it harder to fake when she wasn't feeling it. But she'd manage, she always did.

"Next, we had an adoption event this past week that is still happening. Need a companion? Something more... utilitarian? Head on over." Her gaze flicked over towards Vesania. "This is the first time I've seen you since I promoted you. I need more than that, alright? Meeting dismissed."

♔  Vesania slowly dipped his head towards Ruslan, acknowledging him. He met him at the gate earlier that day, and could easily point him out in the crowd. Even if the albino had a bit of a pea-brain sometimes. He put his hands in his vest pocket and tilted his head slightly at the adoption event mention. He had been meaning to go to that and poke around. He glanced down at his feet at the mention of him lacking his, well, everything. His presence.

♔  He had no excuse for his lack of appearance on that, and instead just nodded towards Selena and turned on his heel and left the room.

Though she had tried, she couldn't get Adelita to take a nap during the meeting. So, a bit late and with a drink in one hand and a baby in the other, Sel made her way to the ballroom. "Meeting time!"

♔  Ves was used to the meetings coming and going, the last he missed entirely from his hangover. He rubbed at his forehead as he walked into the room -- at least this time he wasn't drunk, sleep-deprived, or otherwise under the weather. This time he was just playing with his brow piercing. He stood in his usual spot, though admittedly he chose not to sit this time. He crossed his arms and looked around the room for a very brief moment.

♔  The albino never interacted much with anyone else, usually only Selena, Elijah, or Miguel, but he was sure to try to change that sooner or later. Definitely asking Micah about his tattoos was on his list. Maybe bugging the new guy. He wanted to get to know who he would be working with instead of staying cooped up in his room and avoiding everyone. He studied each of them before finally turning his gaze onto Selena.

[RUSLAN]

[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width:400px;font-size:9pt; line-height:1"]「 TAGS 」 — Ruslan was a newcomer , practically an outsider , even if he technically was not . This was his new home and these were his new comrades whether he liked it or not . Everything was so different , from the people to the climate to the customs and the surroundings . What's to come is uncertain to Ruslan , but this new chapter in his life seems promising and fulfilling . It couldn't possibly be worse than staying behind with his old gang , his own family .

The young adult caught word of a meeting assembling in the ballroom , and so Ruslan had made his way over . He slipped in quietly , merely observing the room . Ruslan doubted anything announced today would make immediate sense to him , nor would it personally matter , but he was obligated to listen anyways . Being apart of a new group meant that he had to learn and know the politics and happenings like the back of his hand . He couldn't afford being an ignorant fool .

he should probably shouldn't be so harsh, juliette is days away from having his kids.
