i feel like ever would stumble across him and kinda roll their eyes and be all "ugh i guess i can help you out" and just generally be salty af (as usual) for a while before they kinda chill out and are like "ok that wasn't horrible". plus i think ever would have a soft spot for a lil critter they're not tHat heartless
