Wym didn't actually remember who'd been the one to suggest going to the relatively.. Strange part of town where the wizard's shop resided. Was wizard the right term? Maybe he was a sorcerer, or a warlock.
The building was squished between two others, one an abandoned sword shop and the other a suspicious unmarked structure. The shop was all glitz and glam, with a large glowing green sign that said "CHARMS! HEXES! MAGIC AND MORE!" in one of the windows. The windows themselves were covered by a dark pinkish curtain that was too thick to see through.
The roof was slanted and was painted a dark, dingy purple color. The brick walls were painted white and almost alarmingly well-kempt. The door was held open with a spare brick, but a long dark green curtain was hung over the doorway so they couldn't see into the actual store.
"I.. Suppose this is the place." Wym said, taking a moment to quell his excitement. He felt awake, truly awake; probably because this place just radiated magic. Whoever was inside was a powerful wizard. "We'll get that hex off you in no time."
//Gave you a nice jump-off point [member=155]Pyre[/member] and I also wrote a small guide on the store+shopkeep so you don't have to wait for me
Description for the inside of the store:
The walls are covered in dark pink and dark green curtains and the floor is light-tinted hardwood with runes carved into every board.
Where the curtains on the wall part, there are shelves with various jars, bottles, bowls, and other trinkets. There are a few skulls of both humans and other magical creatures, specifically a troll skull, hatchling dragon skull and a saber-toothed feline skull.
The jars are filled with different substances, all unique in some way. The bottles are mostly filled with blood which have small labels on the front that mark whatever or whoever's blood is inside. The bowls are filled with trinkets like eggs, feathers, gems, and potions that are just sitting and would be nearly impossible to transport in their current form.
There's a table at the back wall that's carved dark wood, and is exquisite in its complexities. This table is the counter, and behind it usually stands Cristal though he is an enigma and can be anywhere in the store whenever he wants.
For lighting, there is a soft orange glow coming from the ceiling but doesn't have any specific spots where it's coming from. The lighting is magical btw, and may change to different colors if Cristal is in moments of heightened stress but I doubt that'll happen at any point during this thread.
Cristal's behaviors, explained:
When they enter, Cristal will somehow appear behind them once they are all fully in the store and will attempt to put one hand on Nathan's shoulder and purr out a greeting of "Hello valued customers, are you here to sell or buy?"
If Cristal is attacked, yelled at, or otherwise spooked, he'll teleport to behind the counter and will let them browse while tottering out an apology and either a very detailed description of any items they're looking at or a purposely vague description of whatever they're looking at, example:
"Ah yes, that bowl of eggs? Cockatrice eggs! Nasty little things, but absolutely delicious fully grown. Just keep a weasel or a rooster around if you're planning on hatching these badboys, alright? I wouldn't want you to meet such an unfortunate end."
"Mhm? That little thing? It's a bottle of Erin Serphent, dearie."
For pricing, make him ask for something absurd or strange. Get creative with that shit or go with the classic of him wanting a lil bit of Wym's blood.
For speech pattern, he's got an Aravale accent and (not because of his accent mind you) puts weird emphasis on certain words. If you're confused about what you should emphasis, just sound it out and pick the words that'll have the most focus or will be the most confusing/concerning.
He also uses pet names, regardless of if the character likes them. Example: Dearie/s, darling, child, etc. He doesn't use pet names that are too romantic-oriented however, and as an example he doesn't use stuff like: Honey, sweetie, etc. Darling is the exception to this rule, and he will absolutely use it as much as possible.
He won't visibly show any sort of fear towards Aenda, but his voice may grow strained when addressing her if she starts pushing him physically or psychologically.
I wouldn't suggest going too deep in his head or switching to his POV at any point, since I fear that it would kill us both. //joking but also Serious
I hope this helps keep stuff from getting blocked up! When in doubt, make shit up and we'll roll with it.
