There were many things to consider before a job like this. The first thing was to consider the risks. The factors that he was about to weigh out. As of now, Alexis was on foreign territory, in a museum he had neither bugged nor checked for bugs, and he was about to join forces with one of the larger thorns in his side (not that he had many thorns in his side, thorns that were still living - that was). His hand curled into a fist thinking about how he was going to have to sit there and co-operate with someone who seemed to always get under Alexis' skin.. Everett Solo. Everett Solo was someone who always managed to be there in just the nick of time. An American.. not hero. Solo wasn't a hero in their world, just like Alexis would likely die in obscurity outside of his work. The two of them.. they were the best. (So Alexis had been told). It was a great step forwards for the American-Russian relationship (So Alexis had been told). The jewels would be safe in their hands, and yet.. Alexis didn't feel safe, not when Solo was around.

They'd met a few times, perhaps. Alexis was annoyingly familiar with the American with soft eyes, who could probably charm a rock if the matter came to it. There was so much.. social agility that Solo seemed to possess that was so utterly alien to Alexis. He didn't get it, he couldn't understand. So instead, Alexis had chosen to keep his mouth shut as much as he could around the man, take in what he could learn from the American, maybe learn a weakness or two. However, there was an unfortunate hitch: it was hard to find any weaknesses on the man. Alexis wasn't nearly close enough to figure Solo out, and he probably never would.

"The assets will arrive at the designated time, as scheduled." Was the short, icy information Alexis received through an earpiece. That was all he needed. Staring carefully at the "Animals of East Europe" exhibit, Alexis wondered vaguely where his partner would be. Starting his stroll to the back area of the museum, towards the loading zone, Alexis tried to watch the crowds. There'd been a tip about potential thieves... perhaps not today, but soon. It was in his nature to be suspicious, it was his responsibility to be suspicious. Pressing a finger lightly to his earpiece, Alexis (in classic fashion) kept his message short. "The American...?"

"On his way. Make sure you never leave him alone with those artifacts... he has a love of shiny things." With that, Alexis' walk was finished, and he was left to await the truck (and his partner) in silence.
