Okay, so Bane's ideals are changing from 'endless murder is unnecessary' to thinking that perhaps souls are trapped in defective bodies.
If you have a character who is constantly sniffly to someone who has only three legs or something, and you want your character to be killed, it'd help my plot a lot! Basically, it's the next step to Bane thinking that purging people from their bodies is okay, is saying 'but this soul is not living to it's largest potential, so I must free it from this defective body'
Just going to emphasis that Bane nor myself have anything hateful against things like missing limbs, or any disorders of any kind, Bane is just sheltered and does what he think is good for the soul.
ANOTHER NOTE If your character is someone that Bane will not be able to kill by himself, he will hire Illumi, an assassin, to do it for him.
