it honestly sounds tiring and i JUST started working on a doc for it
like i'm so lost on where to start /cries

oh damn you're going all out, it's been awhile since i've world built that much but?? i have made a species and a language before and my best advice is to start small, don't ignore the itty bitty details because they'll help in the long run. when you start creating don't go right into the big thing, start with small headcannons and build from there like... what do they eat on a normal basis? is it healthy? do they import that food or do they grow it? if they import it why can't they grow it? is it because the land is dry or too wet? if so, what's the general atmosphere like? is it hot or cold or dry? using that where would it be located in the world? what are their relationships with those around them? lmao i feel like a dick talking about this because i'm not a know-it-all i promise i just,, want to help? i'm pARANOID JEEZE but!! don't feel overwhelmed, don't look at the big picture, think of weird small facts and slowly everything will start to piece itself together. think attire, think food, think attitude, think relationships of the people just weird things you wouldn't think would help because those can easily be the ground that you build everything else with i

+ when it comes to languages, if it's your first time building it?? keep it very close to english structuring or a language that you speak's structuring that way it's easy to build around it and to figure out tenses/vocab; always build the alphabet first though!!

+ also if you can't think of anything for the environment of a planet/country sometimes you can get a lot done if you think about what you want your species to look like and sort of build off of that. if they have more eyes is the world further from the sun/do they live in a darker area, if they have more hair is it colder where they live? if they have darker complexions is it to protect them from the sun or blend them into their surroundings im getting way to hyped right now hECK

i think i want the species to have like a natural dark complexion!! they’d be in the sun for a while and they need more melanin to darken the skin and their hair
