Hey guys so for some reason last night at almost 12 am I decided to write up Cat's opinions on various characters from BL and their backstory. I got 14 done by 2 am but wanted to do some more so... here we are lads. If you think I missed someone, yeet them in BUT BEAR IN MIND I'm only doing characters that Cat has interacted with in a meaningful way at least two times. Also this. isn't exactly a heartchart bc my lazy ass still hasn't gotten new hearts together after the inadequate ones last time. Also most of these are short and crappy but it be like that sometimes. Also, they're all 100% ic opinions of Cat's.

Addy
"I admire his dedication and his initiative. Sometimes he's fun to talk to, but he's got his... moments."
Cat still doesn't know Addy that well, but for the most part they like and appreciate him. They don't trust him as much as some of the others that they've personally gone through things with, but he's on his way to becoming fairly well liked and trusted by them.
Angel
"She's okay, I guess. It's pretty obvious that she's into me, but she's not going to get anywhere."
They don't especially like or dislike her. They've been friendly towards her since she hasn't really done anything to deserve otherwise, but they're thinking they should probably leave a good amount of distance between them, considering she has feelings for them and they've got a boyfriend.
The Constable
"Rest in peace, I guess. We didn't always get along but he was an okayish guy. For what he was."
Cat respected him, and to an extent he respected them, though neither of them liked the other very much. The Constable didn't like Cat because of the cult and their proximity to Susie, and they didn't like him because of how he ran his town.
Creed
"I guess if you were going to make me pick one person in the Badlands that I consider my friend, it would probably be Creed. She's chill and I feel like we've got each other's backs, and she's proven that I can trust her."
They're still a little reluctant to call her their friend thanks to their track record, but they do cautiously think of her as one. She's seen them in ways no one else in the Badlands has, from scheming to bleeding out, and they figure if they don't trust her, they're fucked. They care about her, and hope things with her continue on the current trajectory.
Derick
"I promised myself if I ever see him again I'll kill him. I hope I never do, but I'm still fully committed."
Derick fucked up their life in just about every way he could, something that, after fully realizing and coming to terms with, Cat will not ever forgive him for. There's part of them that already grieves for him, however, as he's the only father they've ever really had.
Gabriel
"Gabe... He's a good kid. He belongs somewhere nice, I don't know why he sticks around here."
On the one hand, they saw a great deal of potential in Gabe that he pretty much just threw out. On the other hand, they're sort of proud of him. They see themself in him in a weird way, if they had gone down a different path. If they'd been able to resist Derick's influence and stay true to themself, rather than getting warped and twisted. They don't really see him as a typical Badlander, but they'll be damned if they let anything bad happen to him.
Gavril
"Oh, uh... Gav. Yeah he's um..."
They struggle to put it into words how much Gavril means to them. He's the first person they've developed feelings with where things actually worked out, and actually expressing that he's their boyfriend is hard because boyfriend feels inadequate. He's without a doubt one of the most important things/people in their life and they are absolutely terrified of losing him. Still, they've got some trust issues they're trying to work through and even though they're in denial that it's even a possibility, some part of them is scared that he's using him or will betray them. Right now though? They're falling for him.
Gerald
"Why are we talking about him? He's an arsehole. If I ever get the chance to tell him that, I will."
They have no love for Gerald, they never have and they never will. He was an ass, and they're glad to be rid of him.
Honey
"She... honestly didn't deserve what we put her through. She was a bit of an idiot, but she was a nice enough idiot."
Honey isn't someone that they were ever especially close to, but they do regret some of the things that she went through in Mourningstar.
Jeremy
"He was a bastard. I'm glad he's dead."
They hated him. Pure and simple they hated him, and they're quite happy that they don't ever have to see him again.
Louie
"God... If there's anyone in Mourningstar that I really regret being there, it's him. He didn't even have anything bad happen to him, he just... I dunno. I think it's because that if it wasn't for Mourningstar, he wouldn't have been another follower. He would have been my brother."
Catalyst is perhaps the saddest of all about Louie, largely because of what could have been if things had been different. They've obviously never had a brotherly bond with anyone else, but just when they were getting close, the dynamic changed in a way that Cat would come to absolutely hate. Of all the cultists, he's the one they wish they could have a fresh start with.
Mo
"She's an angel, isn't she? Yeah I never wanted kids but I have to admit that I'm happy she's part of my family now."
Again, they never wanted to be a parent. It was something they had every intention of actively avoiding, but when it came down to leaving her to die, how could they even consider the latter? They haven't regretted that for one second, even if they're now constantly paranoid that something will happen to her and unable to sleep because of it. They absolutely adore her and would do anything for her already.
Molly
"I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that I care about my mother a great deal, and that despite everything that's happened, we're pretty close. Quite frankly, she's amazing and I don't deserve to have someone like her in my life."
She's the one person that has never done anything to hurt or betray them, and though their relationship is in a rocky place right now, Cat would still do anything for her. As of now she's the only person that they will freely say "I love you" to, but that won't be the case for long. They trust her more than anyone else, though they don't see her as any sort of confidant. They're super protective of her, and want to keep her safe and well above all else.
Mordecai
"Mord's solid. He's a good doctor, a good dude, pretty sure he can fug someone up if he wants to, too, so that's alright."
They like him pretty decently; they mainly just trust him to do his job and if the situation calls on it, keep an eye on Molly, but they've got little to no reason to view him in any sort of negative light.
Mike
"He used to be something of a right hand to me, and now I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. Anyone can see that."
Yeah, Mike used to be someone they trusted a great deal but has since fallen... just about as low as you can get in their eyes. It's gonna be hard to change that, though part of them hopes he'll be able to. Another part is looking for that last reason to put a bullet in his head, but you know. It's all really complicated and messy, but they feel incredibly betrayed by his actions.
Paige
"She's annoying, and she does it on purpose which is even more annoying."
She is pretty successful at irritating the shit out of them, but if she were to suddenly stop they'd weirdly miss having her around.
Rico
"I knew him for three days a year and a half ago. He saved my life but I'll be just fine if our paths don't ever cross again."
They don't really have anything against Rico, but they'd still really rather not see him again.
Sheogorath
"Obviously I'm no fan of his, and I don't think I ever will be. He had his chance and he blew it spectacularly, but I'm pretty much over what happened."
They still think about what happened with him sometimes, but there isn't really any remorse or guilt or... anything. They aren't happy or sad, they're just over it. It's something that happened.
Susanna
"If I never see that crusty shrew again it'll be too soon."
Anyone stepping in to be like a mother to them is going to have a hard time filling Molly's shoes, but Susanna didn't rise up to the challenge whatsoever. She focused on Louie and the twins, Cat be damned. It was always abundantly clear that she only took them in because Derick wanted to, even to young Cat.
Susie
"Do I have to talk about her?"
Their relationship with Susie was and is incredibly complicated. Starting out as friends, she was the single true friend they had, she was their rock, she kept them sane and over time they developed a small crush on her. However, after certain events they avoided her, never actually resolving things or speaking to her. They cared enough to say good bye to her when they left Mourningstar, but they shot down the idea that she might go with them. When she found them in the Badlands they tried to be sort of nice, though that ended up going out the door after a while. And that's where they left that, with Cat having thrown kerosene on the bridge and setting it ablaze.
Tydeus
"Pfft. I don't have a whole lot to say about him, but there's a whole lot I'd love to say to him. That's hardly new, though."
Their feelings towards Tyd are complicated and messy and no one understands them, least of all Cat. They sort of like him and being around him, but he also pisses them the fuck off quite a lot and they'd love nothing more than the chance to really tell him that one last time. And that's not even touching on the usurper/prisoner/slave/freer thing.
