Okay, so here's the thing. Sel didn't know if she was having a girl or a boy. At the end of the day, it didn't really matter to her as long as the baby was healthy. Part of her did indeed want a girl, but really, it didn't matter. She just wanted to finally have her baby in her arms.

That was still a long way's off, but Sel was starting to realize that setting up a nursery was only going to get harder. Better to do it now, when she could still kinda participate in the process. Oh, did she say one nursery? Make that two. Both rooms next to hers, now claimed for baby. If it was a boy, he'd get the one on the right, if it was a girl, she'd get the one on the left. It wasn't about enforcing gender roles on an infant (there was a bouquet of flowers in the boy's room and she hadn't abstained from using blue in the girl's room), it was more that this was the only way she could spoil the kid individually until it was actually born and showing its personality.

Also, there were so many cute things for a little girl and so many cute things for a little boy, she couldn't fit them all into one gender-neutral room if she tried.

But that's what Sel was working on at the moment, the doors to both rooms left open in the hall as she bustled back and forth.

She seems to not be a very serious person and would rather have fun than be productive, and failing entertainment she can be quite productive and get quite a bit done. She's loud and lacks discipline. While Sel is irresponsible (and oddly bossy) and wild, she is very family-oriented and loves her family dearly. She is usually a cheerful, friendly person but she definitely has a passion for the weird, dark and creepy. She is somewhat vain and egotistical. She has her secrets and one of them is her intelligence and ability to collect information; most dismiss her as a dumb party girl (or something like that) and that's part of her cover, she has her fair share of sins and has to have a way of hiding them, and because she is a good liar and good actress, she succeeds.

[align=center][div style="width: 390px; text-align: justify;"]for years, delaney had been told, promised, that he would never have a child. not biologically, anyways. the chances that he was completely infertile was nearly 100%. so, of course, he was quite jealous of their very pregnant lord, but he has kept the blatant staring at her belly to afar, making sure she never saw him. the fact that she was making a nursery, or two for that fact, and he figured he might make something for whatever little human she popped out.

he had gotten to carving two little figures, staining the wood with berries and using black ink to bring out little details. one was a man with a beard that reaches his feet and a robe that fell just over his ankles, holding a sword in two hands with a helmet that covered his eyes and horns that spiraled backwards. the second was a woman, her dress having a skirt that had a train made of fabric (which must've been from something he found wherever he had decided to stay in), her hair in an extremely loose and low ponytail, her hands folded in front of her.

"so, are you having two then? or are you just being prepared?" he asked, stopping in the doorway of whatever room she was in at the moment before slipping inside to set te two figurines on the nearest table so he could use both of his crutches properly. "i hope you don't mind, but i thought a nursery warming present would be in order."

She had really started to believe that she wouldn't be able to have children either. Miscarriage after miscarriage, maybe her body just wasn't cut out for this. It was crushing, though she still kept trying. Six months along, though, and she had hope that this time would be different. This time she'd get to hold her baby in her arms instead of -

Sel glanced up when someone came into the room. Lane. "I don't know what I'm having, so I'm gonna be prepared for anything!" Except triplets. Dear god, if she had triplets she was gonna have to do a one-eight and drag both Salem and Mateo into parenthood with her. She beamed at him when he set the figurines on the changing table. "Those are so cute! Did you make these?"

Where im from, they're something of gods. Edonis of warfare and strategy, and Kiana of prosperity." he explained, gesturing to both as he explained what each one was.

Sel nodded, cupping her belly with her hands. Just a few more months now... she couldn't wait. With Delaney's revelation as to the figurine's identities, she studied them again, even closer. "Appropriate for my kids." She said, smiling. Regardless of the baby's gender, they would be a Felix.
