It was a few weeks later. Noctis knew Prompto’s birthday was coming up so he had snuck out of the palace early in the morning. Probably a bit too early but he knew of some shops that were open early. He had gotten Prompto a present he thought he would like. It was the newest camera that took clearer pictures and had different filter options.

What Noctis didn’t expect was to be stopped by a small group of people. Noctis had been minding his own business when he was surrounded by a group of people. They were mad at him for sending their soldiers to Niflheim. And they had decided to be physical about it. Noctis didn’t fight back though.

They had been at him for about an hour before they decided to leave him alone. And afterwards, Noctis looked like shit. He was bleeding rather heavily from a few cuts they had made. He was bruised and probably had some broken ribs. Noctis had managed to move over to a building to lean on it. He was struggling a bit to catch his breath. His eyes closed and he gritted his teeth in pain.

“Noctis!?” A voice said. Noct glanced over, seeing a girl standing there. Iris. It was Gladio’s little sister. She moved over, looking Noctis over. “What happened?” She asked, her eyes wide.

“Iris...Can you help me back to the palace?” He asked. Iris frowned, wrapping an arm around his waist to help Noctis uo. She started to slowly move with him back to the palace. Noctis was much slower then usual and each step sent a jolt of pain through his body.

ince noct was back, iggy was pacing in the throne room, and prompto was curled in the throne, staring out the window.

Once they arrived there, Iris brought him into the throne room. “Gladio!” Iris called oit. Noctis looked like he was struggling to remain on his feet

ignis's eyes widened. "noct!" he said and rushed over. "what the hell happened?"

Noctis tried to speak but stopped when he stumbled forward. Iris squeaked in surprise, quickly catching Noctis from around his chest. She gently laid him down on the ground. Gladio frowned, quickly moving over

iggy and prompto had instantly started tending to him. Ignis looked at iris. "whatbthe hell happened?!"

Iris frowned. Her eyes were wide. “I-I don’t know. I was going on a walk and I spotted Noctis leaning against a building. He looked hurt so I came to help him but...” she trailed off, looking Noctis over. Gladio frowned.

“Did you see anyone?” He asked. She shook her head

he looked at noct and frowned. "i'm sure security cameras on the building will have seen something."
