saint was actually in a place that was hit v late in the blackout, about 6 yrs ago, and max is 7 yrs old so he was fully grown when the blackout happened, but esp with the blackout hitting just after, he was still used as a weapon by his owner until his owner was killed not too long after the blackout. he was two when saint found him so yeah

also, i mentioned doc getting a dog and i've settled on this.

yeah, staff agreed the latest the blackout occurred was 5 yrs to help diversify people’s backgrounds so they didn’t all get affected by it at certain ages etc.

yeah! he didn’t live a pampered life though so he doesn’t realize the difference anyway!
