Gabriel got up, looking at Jack. He glanced him over before frowning. "You're too forgiving." he said. He then moved over, picking up his mask and putting it back on. "One day that will prove your undoing." He said. he then started walking off.

Jesse was standing outside of the base. He had watched the interaction between Jack and Gabe. He looked down when Gabriel walked off. Seven years of thinking he was dead only to find out he had been the one who was killing off their former comrades. Part of Jesse did despise Gabriel for everything he's done. But a small part of him missed him. Jesse was the closest to Gabriel aside from Jack.

He waited a moment before moving over to Jack. He glanced at Jack before looking ahead. "Reaper." Jesse called out. He stopped, turning and looking at Jesse. "...Winston called us here for a reason. To form overwatch again. To protect the innocent civilians from the omnics. This world needs heros. The offer still stands." He said. Gabriel looked at Jesse.

"I'm far from a hero, kid. Just keep the old man in line. Someone needs to look out for him." He said. He then turned and left the two of them.

jack moved inside, putting on his mask and taking a deep breath.

Jesse sighed and soon moved inside as well. Ana had been talking with Mercy and Pharah when the other two came in. She frowned. "Jack? What happened?" Ana asked.

he looked down and scowled. "don't worry about it."

Ana glanced at Jesse. He meeely shook his head. Ana sighed. “Alright.” She said.

It was a few hours later. Everyone had gone to bed rather early since they were all exhausted from traveling to get to the base. Jesse hadn’t been able to sleep however. He was still awake. He was sitting on a chair, seeming a bit lost in his thoughts.

He glanced over when he heard footsteps. Genji. “Shouldn’t you be resting Genji?” Mccree asked. Genji looked at Jesse.

“No. I rarely sleep anymore.” He ssid. He moved over, taking a seat by Mccree. “You look troubled. Care to talk about it?” Genji askes. Jesse blinked.

“Gabriel is still alive.” He said.

“What?” Genji asked, seeming a bit alarmed. Jesse nodded.

“He’s alive. And now he’s a terrorist. He’s killing off old Overwatch comrades. And, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him here.” He said..

jack hadn't been able to sleep so he simply listened as they talked, pretending to be asleep as they talked about gabe.

Genji frowned. “Maybe he’ll come around. If he really wanted us dead, he had every opportunity to do that today. If he didn’t kill you or Jack, he must not want you two dead.” He said.

“Perhaps. But that still doesn’t make up for what he’s done.” Jesse said. Genji was sikentky for a moment.

“Forgiveness can go a long way, Jesse. Maybe that’s all he needs. To just see that we still care about him and want to help him.” He said.

hhack finally growled softly. "the Gabe we knew back then is gone. there's no hope for him. now shut up before i get the frying pan."

Genji and Jesse looked over when they heard Jack speak. “Oh. Sorry if we woke you, sir.” Genji said. Jesse fell silent, looking away

jack sighed. "sleep." he muttered.
