he hummed and smiled as the baby quickly calmed. “are you hungry~?” he asked softly.
Gabe frowned. “the only reason talon hasn’t attacked you is because they know i’m watching” he stated. “you’d be dead by now if i wasn’t ‘stalking’ you.”

Jesse watched the two. “Do you want me to get her bottle?” He asked.

Jack shrugged. “Let them. I don’t care anymore. They’re no different then anyone else I’ve taken on.” Jacksaid

he hummed “if you can, yeah.” he said.
he frowned. “yes they are. most of them know you, jack. they know your weaknesses because they worked with you. so just fucking deal with me like you used to.” he snapped. “besides, you won’t even know i’m here.”

Jesse nodded, moving downstairs to grab her bottle

“Like I used to was different. We were married then and we were comrades. We’re not like that now.” Jack muttered

he frowned. “glad to see you still have some love for me.” he said sarcastically and hissed something in spanish that he was sure jack knew, as he used to say it constantly. it was basically just ‘fuck you, asshole’.

Jack frowned. “Don’t you start with that shit. I might have still loved you if you didn’t pull a god damn Stu t like you did. What the hell were you hoping to prove by faking your death? I was god dam right about you being with talon. But you couldn’t tell me the fucking truth, so what? You faked your own death? You played the victim card when you knew they were right? Fuck you Reyes. All you had to do was just say ‘yeah I’m with talon’. That’s all you had to do, but no. You ran off and made me and the others of Overwatch believe you’ve been dead this whole time!” Jack hissed

He stared over at Gabriel before looking away. “I did love you Gabe. After that incident, I did still love you. And I wanted you to come back so I could apologize. But...Now forget it. What you did was unforgivable. And there’s no way in hell im taking you back after that.” Jack whispered. He then started walking off again

he scoffed. “i did it to hurt you.” he stated. the was a blatant lie, and it was obvious to anyone who know the way that reaper worked and knew his body language. “and you just never saw it. you never saw that i wanted the worst to fucking happen to you, don’t you get it? you stole everything from me so i payed back the favour.” he snarled.

Jack frowned. “Well there you go Gabe. I never gave a fuck about Overwatch. Sure I took my job seriously. But ever since the attacks from talon and the public started getting worse, my only thoughts were keeping you safe. So yeah maybe I did seem off those last few days.maybe I was harsh and couldn’t see what was happening. But when I told you to leave Overwatch that day, that wasn’tme Trying to be an ass hole. I was terrified Gabe. I was terrified of learning you had been with Talon. Because I know the UN would have been hunting you down and if they caught you I wouldn’t be able to do anything to save you. You were the only thing that ever mattered to me Gabe. So when I saw you dead I...I knew I failed. The one thing I swore to protect I couldn’t. So I’m sorry I let you down.” Jack whispered.

“The worst did happen. I lost you. Nothing that happens now is going to compare to that.” Jack whispered. “You can say you’re still here but you’re not. Whatever you are right now...You’re not the Gabriel that I fell in love with. That Gabe died. And so did a part of me. So congratulations, Reaper.” Jack whispered. He then turned, moving off quickly.

he stared at him, before phasing off once he was done talking, and continued right up until he was somewhere he didn’t rwally even expect to end up. the old base. he sighed and shook his head, simply moving inside and moving off to be what was his and jacks room. all the furniture was still there, as well as sheets and pillows, some of his old clothes were still in the drawers, and he looked down, moving to sit down on the edge of the bed and slowly take off his hood and jacket, pulling off his gloves and his mask and setting them all inside. he pulled the wedding ring off his hand and set it gently on the table before taking a picture from his pocket and setting the two torn in half halves under the ring before slowly laying down and taking what used to be jacks pillow in his arms.
