She grabbed the hoodie, curling up and falling asleep. Jack looked back at her before looking ahead.

he sighed. “poor kid..” he mumbled softly.

Jack frowned. “Yeah...I don’t know how someone could ever blame a divorce on a child. Especially one as young as her.” He whsoered

he nodded and sighed. “is it bad that every bone in my body is saying to track down that woman and shoot her?” he muttered. “right in her cold, dead heart.”

Jack frowned. “I feel the same way.” He muttered quietly. He then frowned. “...We’ll take care of her. Maybe when we get here settled into the hospital, I’ll head out and go pick up some clothes for her and some other items.” Jack said

he nodded. “we have to ask the nurses what size she wears once they get her in a gown.” he said and looked at olivia in the mirror. “how old do you think she is?”

Jack glanced back at her before looking ahead. “Probably no okder then eight. The poor thing...Still so young but she’s already experienced hell.” Jack whispered. He frowned when Olivia shifted a bit and a whimper escaped her.

he frowned. “pull over.” he said softly.

Jack nodded. He glanced around before finding an empty spot to pull over. He then glanced back at Olivia.

he got out of the car and into the back of it, sitting with olivia and gently wrapping his arm around her so that she leaned against him. “ok, keep going.” he said and gently brushed through her hair.
