It had been a few weeks later. Olivia had been staying out later and later after school. Jack had been pretty concerned. Out of no where, Olivia had changed quite abruptly. From the way she dressed, her hair, her attitude. Even her grades. Olivia always had straight A's no matter what and her grades had dropped quite a bit. She always seemed exhausted during the mornings and never really seemed to want to do much anymore.

Jack had tried questioning her about it, but she seemed to just brush it off as if it was nothing. It was later in the evening. Jack was pacing the living room a bit, waiting for Olivia to get home. He needed to know what was going on. Because this wasn't normal for her.

Gabe somehow seemed even more worried than jack. he was pacing near the entry room, biting at his nails like he did when he got nervous. he recognised what was going on, since the exact thing had happened to him, but he hoped it wasn’t the same thing. he sighed and took out his phone to call olivia for the fifth time since school let out a good five hours ago.

Olivia hadn’t answered her phone calls at all. After a while though, she had arrived home. She glanced around, stopping when she spotted gabe and Jack. She sighed, looking them over. “...Why do you both look so worried?” She asked

he looked at her, his eyes wide. “it’s nearly dark and you hadn’t answere you god damn phone once! we thought someone had kidnapped you or.. or you had run away or something!”

She blinked, watching them. She sighed. “I’m fine Dad. I can look after myself.” She said. She then moved in.

“Well that’s debatble Olivia. This has been going on for a few weeks now. Something is clearly wrong. You’re not...Yourself anymore.” Jack said. Olivia frowned.

“Yeah? And how do you know what “myself” is? You’re not me. You don’t know the way I think or act.” Olivia said.

he frowned. “we raised you, we know how you act and you’re acting weird. you’re not acting like you’ve ever acted, and we just want to know what the hell is going on!” he said. “i thought you were just experimenting with your style, i don’t care if you’re goth or scene, but you didn’t answer your phone, you know you’re supposed to head straight home or call us if you made plans with a friend, your grades are dropping, and you’ve got that attitude that needs to get dropped!” he exclaimed. in the middle of his entire rant, he had switched over to spanish- which was never a good sign.

Olivia watched him, frowning. She then sighed. “...Yeah. Fine. I get it.” Olivia said, shrugging. She then glanced away. “I’ve joined a gang. Los Muertos. That’s where I’ve been.” She said

his eyes widened, and he shook his head. “no. absolutely not. there will be none of that shit in this fucking household.” he stated. “you’re fucking grounded. go. go to your room.”

She watched Gabe. She opened her mouth to say something, but closed it and remained silent. She nodded, heading upstairs to her room.

he frowned. “if i find out you’ve so much as made contact with any of those gangs, i swear to god i’m taking all of your electronics!” he yelled after her.
