After the announcement got out that Green had a couple of chores for the people of Northstar to complete, it wasn’t long until a crowd began to congregate in the town square, waiting for him to arrive. And, only a couple of minutes late, Green eventually turned up, trotting over towards the fountain before hopping up on the ledge to better look at everyone.

❝ Sorry for the wait; I had totally misplaced the list. ❞ He flicked the sheet of paper up in the air for all those to see. Fortunately for them, they wouldn’t have to try to read his chicken scratch handwriting that Green could barely read; it was helpful having a literate boyfriend who was willing to write the chores all down for him.

❝ But, here we are- ❞ He handed the list down to the nearest person to pass around. ❝ Let me know if you want to help with any of these. After this, I’ll keep the list at my house so just pop around if you need anything else to get on with. Is that fine with everyone? ❞

— mick wasn’t particularly one to shy away from the idea of chores. generally one to be out and about, quick to try and find something to do to keep himself busy, he could easily knock out a few of the chores on the list. granted, he had a bit longer to contemplate which ones he would be most willing to do, seeing as he got to write green’s ideas down on the paper for him. there were plenty of chores to go around, he figured.

as the chores went down the line, mick casually drew a line through the first task - ‘feed the street cats’ - before handing the paper to the person next to him. doing that first one seemed like a relatively laid-back one to start with.

— addy was enjoying the idea of getting to lay back and relax for a bit, not exactly having any responsibilities to look after (besides lucerne, which was more than enough to have addy's hands full). however, he figured that getting a chore wouldn't be the absolute end of the world. taking the paper from one of the people beside him, he looked over the list. a few of these weren't so bad, he figured. though, if there was one that managed to stick out to him the most... taking the pen, he crossed out "organize a beach clean." after all, how hard could it be to clean the beach?
