With one hand he took of his soaked jacket before resting it on the railing. After that he happily wrapped himself up, though it wasn't very big he tried. "Inside?" With a girl? No, there was nothing weird about it, they were friends, of acquaintances at least, so it was fine. Completely fine. Instead of answering vocally the socially inept loser nodded. Tea sounded good. Gosh, his mother used to have tea, some weird yes that he wasn't suppose to drink. Not even her husband could drink it. Whatever it was she'd called tea. He'd had regular tea too, the brewed stuff that tasted like earth and mint. "What flavor is the tea?" He asked gently as he slipped of his boots, showing some sort of manners. Despite living here quite awhile Johnny's never thought of actually making a home. He preferred the outdoors despite all the risks, but it sure was nice actually being in a regular old house. Cozy, comforting. Things he missed.
Self conscious, he stayed at the door. If it could be avoided he wouldn't drag in any dirt, but at the back of his mind he knew it was so he could bolt at the slightest thing. He may have looked tough, that didn't mean he wasn't gonna run if toruble caught up. He'd never understood people who picked fights and put themselves in messes to seem brave. Personally, living was more important than that.
His fingers fiddled with the hem of his t-shirt as Johnny glanced around. "I, uh, I like chamomile,' he pronounced it cam-a-meal, ears bright red as he cleared his throat. That was a type of tea, right? Like, Earl Grey and stuff. God he probably sounded like an idiot. He should have just kept his mouth shut instead of letting Sylmae realize that he didn't know anything about tea. Even though that was probably the least important thing to know.
