samuel was still shaken up after he murdered elizabeth carruthers, all because she had taken his cobbs to gaol (the old english way of spelling jail). she had known about them, and she had called him weak. so, he slapped her, she hit him over the head with a candlestick, and he beat her head in with a candlestick and clenna had helped him dump the body in an alley in town. once cobbs had broken out, clenna had told him about the incident and then went off the next day to get ten thousand stolen furs from michael smythe, clenna's ex. michael had originally been waiting for the widowed carruthers, but he knew cobbs would retrieve the pelts.

samuel, even though he knew mr. pond was very capable, he was still paranoid that he would never come home. though, all of his worried melted away when he saw cobbs and clenna walk through the door. though, his heart dropped into his stomach when he saw clenna's horrified look. "oh, clenna.. cobbs, what happened out there?"

/you're playing cobbs pond (or mr. pond as he's often referred as) and he just went to make a deal to get 10,000 stolen hudson bay company furs (which he did) and near the end, a native american startled her by coming out of the brush suddenly and she shot him. clenna is shaken up and cobbs got the furs and is mostly unphased.
