  I mean, sometimes people have legitimately cool ideas that might do better if they had a board
  but it'd be nice if upcoming groups had to prove that they could last long enough via a series of linked threads before they could get a board
  just to limit the frequency of takeovers (because let me tell you, the probability of LithiumClan getting taken over before I can appeal my ban a second time is stressing me out like you wouldn't believe)
  and ensure that the few who do get to take over boards are legitimately deserving of a board spot, and won't just die off within two weeks
