After a while, a call was coming through on the comm channel. Jack moved over, answering it. After a minute, a video came up on the big monitor. It was Sombra. Her eyes were wide and she looked to be in pain. She glanced over, seeming to relax a bit.
"Lena and Emily are on route to the base. They're in a ship now." Sombra said. Sombra looked to be taking cover behind something and gunshots could be heard going off in the distance. Sombra winced a bit. "...They're safe. As for me, I...I'm surrounded. And I'm not going to be making it out of this." Sombra whispered. She suddenly coughed and blood trickled down from her mouth. She drew in a few ragged, shaky breaths. "Father...Don't come for me. I know you're going to be angry. You're going to be upset. But don't throw your life away because of me. I want you to be safe. You have another family now that needs you. Jack needs you. Jesse needs you. You'll be okay without me." She whispered.
The gunshots seemed to be drawing closer. Sombra swallowed. After a moment, she coughed and her body trembled. "D-Dad?" Sombra asked, her voice slightly higher pitched. It was obvious she was terrified. "I...I'm sorry we haven't always gotten a long. But...I want you to know that I love you. I always have. You've...You've been the best father I could ever ask for. And I ...I'm glad I got to spend my life by your side." She whispered. Her head leaned back. Her gaze shfited a bit and she looked like she was looking at something in front of her.
"Widow...It's nice to see you one last time, amiga." She whispered, smiling faintly. After a moment, a gunshot went off and Sombra suddenly toppled onto her side. The video had then lost connection and went to a black screen.
Jack watched with wide eyes. Ana froze.
