It was midnight when he arrived at the Badland's border. He could practically sence Blitz's weariness, nevermind his own. Even still, he forced his eyes open, pulling the reins to slow Blitz down as he noticed the buildings beginning to spring up all over the place.
He couldn't remember how much time had passed since he started traveling. A few days, maybe weeks? He was thankful for the amount of hay he'd managed to bring with him, along with the dense sketchbook and sparse pencils he still had managed to hold onto.
As Blitz came to a full stop, Clyde let out a yawn and turned around towards his backpack, shuffling around until he finally found his sketchbook and a pencil. He hastily wrote out a note and held it up, hoping someone would notice. He would tie it onto Blitz, but he didn't want to risk potentially harming her since the only place he could tie it while having it be in view was around her neck.
I'm Clyde, Beatrice's uncle. I'm mute, so if any of y'all know sign language, it would be a huge help : ) he added the smiley face with a chuckle before holding the note out, lit up only by the moonlight.
