The fact that he was such a bookworm in his younger years certainly helped, the young boy never seen without a book at hand. Perhaps if he continued to pursue that hobby then maybe he would have been an entirely different man than he was today. He couldn’t change his past, though. His fall from grace.
Eyes narrowed with curiosity at the sight of Mutt talking to a newcomer, Teddy soon strolling over to investigate. Upon closer look it seemed the man did not speak, instead holding up a sketchbook with a handwritten note for Teddy to read. Sign language, huh? ❝ Uhhhh… ❞ He stared at the sketchbook with uncertainty, leaning back somewhat until he curled a lip to look over to Clyde. ❝ Don’t know nobody who knows sign language around here, do ya? ❞ Teddy turned as he asked Mutt, brows knitted before Teddy peered back towards Clyde.
Of course he wouldn’t turn the man away for it though, especially since this was Beatrice’s uncle. Any family of Beatrice was also family of Mike’s to some degree, and Teddy was more than happy to use that to his advantage. Anything to help him flourish, right? ❝ C’mon over, sure Beatrice is around ‘ere somewhere. ❞ He nodded his head back towards the built up Badlands before turning to begin to walk off, as if expecting the rest to follow. ❝ Plannin’ on sticking around? Would be nice for Beatrice to have good family around. ❞
