He glanced down. He sniffed a bit, wiping at his eyes. “...Their main base is in Venice Italy.” Jesse whispered quietly.

he looked over him and nodded. “alright. why dont you go to jack or genii?” he suggested.

He bkinked. “I...I figured you would want to know first.” He whispered. He then glanced down. He then looked away. “I...I didn’t want him to get hurt so I kept the information from you. But..it’s clear he doesn’t care anymore.” He whisoered

he frowned. “we care about you though.”

He nodded. “I know.” He whispered, looking up at Gabe. “...And i appreciate that.” He said. Jesse just looked drained. He sighed, turning to head off.

It was a few days later. It was still fairly early in the morning. Jack and Gabe were up having breakfast with the others. Jesse wasn’t anywhere to be seen though. Jack just assumed the kid was sleeping in.

After a minute, Tracer ended up moving over to Jack and Gabe. She looked shaken up and upset. Jack frowned. “Lena? What’s wrong?” Jack asked.

“Its...It’s Jesse. He hopped on board on a train this morning so he could get to the boat docs. I tried to stop him, but the train had started moving and he was sitting on top of the train. He didn’t have a ticket. So I climbed up to him and begged him to come back, but he didn’t. And then talon forces were sent down onto the train. They were looking for something, but Jesse fought them off asbest as he could. But...We’re crossing over a canyon and they ended up throwing Jesse over the train. I...I don’t even know if he’s alive still. We were up high and...” Tracer fell silent, trembling a bit.

gabe stared at her, seeming emotionless as he stood, and started walking towards the hangar.

Jack cursed under his breath. “...Lena, I know you’re upset. But you need to come with us and show us where Jesse fell. Can you do that?” Jack asked. Tracer gave a small nod. “Okay. Thank you.” Jack said. He then stood up, setting a hand on Tracer’s shoukder as they walked out to the hangar as well. They then got into a dropship, waiting for Gabe.

After about an hour or two, they arrived at a canyon. Jack had ended up setting down the airship on a flat piece of land before getting out with Tracer. They looked around a bit before finding someone laying down next to the river bank.

It was Jesse. Blood could be seen dripping down from his mouth. He wasn’t moving though, but he was, surprisingly, still alive. His breathing was weak and rapid. It was clear he was trying to hold on, but his life was slipping away. Jesse’s eyes were closed.

“Jesse...” Jack trailed off, looking him over.

Gabe rushed over, eyes wide. “shit..” he breathed and gently set a comforting hand on jesse’s forehead. “we can’t move him.”
