he smiled softly and chuckled. “so far, you’re doing good with overwatch..”

Jesse glanced down. He smiled faintly. "...I'm nowhere as good as what you or father was. But...I'm trying." He murmured.

he smiled softly. “you’re right. you’re much, much better.. jesse, the people love you. you’ve done better in three months than we had in ten years. that’s saying a lot.”

Jesse glanced over at Gabe. "...Gabe, I am not better then you. Not you or father combined." He whispered."In fact, I haven't done much. I don't deserve this praise. It's the group who's changing the world and making it a better place. Not me. I'd be lost without those who I work wth. They're all...Amazing. Overwatch would never work if it weren't for them." He murmured.

he hushed him and kissed his temple. “just the fact that you’re leading and working as a team is better than what we did. we were divided and.. for a time i hated jack so much that i could hardly look at him..” he sighed. “and we were married when that happened. you guys work things out, and you actually think about the people..”

Jesse looked at Gabriel. He leaned into him. “...We all make mistakes dad.” Jesse murmured. “But you and father...You made up. You’re still a couple. You guys have sacrificed so much. You’ve...You’ve seen so many horrible things in your lifetime. That gets to you. That can mess up anyone. But...This is what you two needed. A break. You needed a life away from all the action.” Jesse murmured

“That’s why I’m doing this, Dad. I’m doing this to make this world a safer place so you’ll never have to experience the horrors of war anymore.” Jesse murmured
