Jim sighed. “He’s always acting odd.” He said. However, he nodded. Harvey bkinked.

“I guess get in the car. You’re coming with.” Harvey said.

he scowled at jim and moved into the car. "it'll be your faults if he did. with how you people act around him, i wouldn't even be surprised. you act like he's a bomb witth a lit fuse. like he could blow at any moment, but when in reality, you lit the fuse and you were cutting it shorter and lighting it again to make the explosion happen quicker."

Harvey sighed. “You’ve known him for what? Two days? You haven’t known him for as long as we have.” Harvey said. Jim sighed, starting to drive. After a few minutes, he frowned when his phone started ringing. He answered it and put it on speaker.

“Well done, Jim. Guess you’re not as stupid as I origainlly figured you to be.” Edward said. Jim gripped the steering wheel.

“Ed, come on. Whatever you plan on doing, Stop. This isn’t you.” He said.

“How the hell so you know what the real me is? You’ve never taken the damn time to get to know the real me!” Edward hissed. “And it’s The Riddler.” Ed muttered. Jim blinked, looking ahead.

“You know deep down you’re going to pay for your crimes.” Jim said. Ed chuckled quietly.

“Yeah, well that depends on you. There’s an abandoned lab in town. You know which one I’m talking about. Why don’t you guys swing on by? I know you Jim. And I know you hate it when people’s lives are in danger.” Ed murmured.

“You son of a bitch.” He muttered. Ed chuckled.

“Yeah, I am. See you soon hopefully. If not, then two people are going to die.” Edward said. He then hung up.

he whistled softly. "two days. i've already figured him out more than you have in probably years."

Harvey frownwd. “Look you can brag later. But your little boyfriend? Whether we set him off or not, he’s still done a crime. And he’s still going to pay for his actions. You’re lucky you’re even coming with. This isn’t your case and we have every right to kick you out.” Harvey said.

After a while, they arrived at the Ah that Edward told them to meet at. Jim shit off the car, looking around. He then got out, taking out his gun.

brian whistled nonchalantly, getting out as well. "how do you know if he's lying or not, hm?"

He frowned. “It’s Edward. He’s crazy. But he’s never been a liar.” Him said. He then entered the lab, looking around. This place was fairly huge. However, there was one door open in particular. Jim hesitated before moving in.

Inside the room? There was a large glass window, covering most of a wall. There was a door that could only be opened by an electrical switch, which wasn’t in the room. The room that was on the other side of the window was only a small square tiled room.

Inside that was Mike and Jason. They both looked fairly scared. Jim’s Eyes widened. His phone started ringing again. Jim quickly answered it and put it on speaker.

“As you can see, these two are trapped in there.” Edward siad. “...However, There’s a way they can escape with their lives. You need to correctly answer a riddle. I’ll give you three tries. Fail all three, and a poisonous gas will be released in that room, killing them.” He said

he frowned. "give me the phone." he said.

Jim blinked. He handed the phone to Brian. Jason and Mike looked over. “Brian how good are you at riddles!?” Mike asked, moving over to the glass.

he looked at mike and blinked. "i read a huge book of riddles in elementary school! i'm on my pill so i'll remember!" he replied and sighed. "ed, tell me the riddles."
