he sniffed and wiped his cheeks. “i-i can’t gelp it..” he breathed, still holding onto david’s shirt with one hand.

He smiled sympathetically and said softly, leading the other to the counselor's cabin, "Aww, alright. It's okay to cry, Max. I'm sure this is really overwhelming."

[dannychan]

he sniffed and nodded. “y-yeah.. i didn’t think you’d say yes.” he mumbled, keeping close to the man- who was now, technically, his dad- and looked around. “is gwen out with the other kids?”

[peridot.]

"Of course I said yes. I basically love you like a son already, and if your biological parents aren't willing to take care of you... Then they don't deserve to have such an amazing son." He then said, nodding a bit, "Yeah, she is."

[dannychan]

he blinked and more tears formed in his eyes, and he had to wipe them away. “ah-shut yo.” he huffed softly.

[peridot.]

He smiled again and once they were in the cabin, he sat down on the bed and said softly, gently hugging the other, "I'm just saying, you deserve good parents, Max. Or, well, parent."

[dannychan]

he hugged back and sniffed. “you know.. i was originally going to ask both you and gwen but.. i figured she already has to deal with me enough..”

[peridot.]

He chuckled and said, smiling, "We can still ask Gwen, you know. She can be a bit gruff sometimes, but she loves you too."

he shook his head and smiled weakly. “i’m good with just one weird parent.” he mumbled.

/dhksajs yeah he's basically just suggesting that Max can rest with him like when a little kid crawls into bed with their parents when they have a nightmare

He smiled and said, nodding, "Alright, c'mon. No more crying."
