i hope i’m not asking silly questions since i took the time to read all the guides and announcements

firstly, are bicycles even allowed in this world? although i suspect that during the electricity outage and sudden hoarding in the past that many bikes would have been used until broken, i would have assumed that there would have been some tinkerers and others who would have preserved their bicycles or continued replacing their parts. i’ve just never seen anyone use a bicycle so i’m wondering if they’re like somehow a nonexistent thing in this post-apocalyptic universe (“thou shall not pedal”).

secondly, i saw the announcement about trader npcs. as his signature will likely tell you, his business is in making and selling essentials such as soaps (part of the reason he’s called soap), shampoo, conditioner, face creams and masks .etc. i’m a bit confused about the announcement since i wanted him to have a permanent base and his main shop in ND but still travel to other groups to sell his organic products. the announcement seems to suggest to me that i can’t have soap do that and i’m wondering if i just read it wrong?

Yep! Bicycles would be allowed, though they (like everything else) would be pretty rare and likely not in the best condition (unless someone's been able to repair them like you suggested, though parts would also be pretty rare).

He'll still be able to trade and have his main shop be here, dw! But in order to keep trading a part of the group with limited interest shown by most characters, Waft set up some NPCs to do most of it. That doesn't mean no one else can trade c:
