He smiled and said, chuckling, "Well, at least you calling me weird got you to smile." Moving over the drawers, he grabbed some pajamas and heading into the bathroom. When he came out, he was in pajama pants and a camp t shirt as he sat down on the bed.

he leaned on david and took a shaky breath, finally starting to really calm down. “thanks, david..” he mumbled. of course he wasn’t going to start calling him dad right away.

He blinked and smiled, wrapping his arm around his son and gently nuzzling him on the head, "No problem, Max. Wanna get some sleep?"

he nodded and blinked. “yeah.” he breathed.

He smiled and laid down, holding out an arm. He would let Max get as close or as far away as he wanted, since he knew it must be awkward with a new adoptive Dad.

he slowly layer down, laying close enough that he could feel david’s warmth but not close enough to be actually touching and closed his eyes, curling up.

David smiled a bit and put his arm down, closing his eyes and relaxing.
