he held him, trying desperately to calm him and then jus.. freezing when he finally spoke. he couldn’t cry, not when archer was like this- he had to be the strong one. he gently ran his fingers through the males hair and hushed him. “i’m so sorry, archer..@ he whispered and kissed his head.

He whimpered, trembling in the other's arms as he desperately tried to pull himself together — unsuccessfully, "Sh-She was my best f... Friend! I lo-loved her so mu-much, and she helped m-me keep it together s-s-so many times! She was AJ's M-Mom! Oh god, what the fu-fuck am I gonna tell AJ!"

he held him, frowning. “i’ll handle an, ok? it’s going to be alright..” he said softly, moving to pull archer up a bit and wipe his tears. “it’s ok..” he said softly.

Whimpering a bit, he tilted his head up to meet Ray's eyes with his own wet and now red ones. He moved to kiss Ray deeply, saying softly as he shook, "I-Is it really gonna be okay? Sh-She's gone, and I a-a-already miss her so much..."

he kissed back and pulled back after a moment. “of course you will..” he said softly. “don’t cry because she’s gone, smile because you got to know her and love her and make memories.” he said softly.

He sniffled and said softly, holding on to the other and nuzzling him slowly, "I know you're right... It still hurts so... So fucking much.." He then said, tasking a deep breath, "I wanna see AJ..."

he nodded. “try to calm down first, ok? then i’ll drive you to go get an.”

Archer frowned and seemed like he wanted to go now, but he took a deep breath and nodded. Gently taking the other's hands, he pulled Ray over to his chair, pushing him down before he basically sat on the other's lap, leaning against him and taking slow, deep breaths.

ray had been walking by archers tiny little office when he heard the sobbing, and he had frozen. what was so bad that it had sterling archer crying? he quickly moved in and over to his side, eyes slightly wide. “sterling? hey, baby, what’s wrong? look at me..” he said swiftly.

When Archer heard Ray, his heart lifted just a little bit, and he practically launched himself into the other's chest, still sobbing loudly. It took more than a few minutes for Archer to finally calm down enough to speak, whimpering through hiccups and soft sobs, "L-Lana is dead... Sh-She was i... in a c-c-car accident and they couldn't do an-an-anything, and now she's dead...!"
