he frowned and looked over his shoulder. “jack! get your ass dressed!” he said and moved into the hall, closing the door and covering jesse a hug.

Jesse seemed a bit uncomfortable. “Gabe, it’s okay. I can-“ He trailed off however when he felt Gabe hug him. He instinctively pressed closer to Gabe, relishing in the warmth of his body. There was something comforting about being hugged like this. Jesse’s slowly hugged Gabe back.

he sighed and set a hand on the back of his head gently.

Jesse closed his eyes for a moment. “I’m sorry Gabe.” He whispered quietly. “I shouldn’t be bothering you with this. I just...I don’t know who else to turn to. I don’t know who else to confide in.” He whisoered. “...Maybe Moira was right. Maybe I should just stop considering you family. I only ever seem to harm and worry those I love. You don’t need that.” Jesse whispered

he scowled. “i need to beat her ass if she’s telling you this shit. jesse, i want you to come to bre if you’re ever scared or upset, or have a problem you can’t fix ok? i don’t care if you depend on me, because i care about you. haven’t you learned not to listen to her?” he asked.

He gave a faint nod. “...Okay Gabe.” He whispered quietly. He then nuzzled into his shoulder, sniffing. “But she’s right. You and Jack...One day you won’t be here.” He whispered

“Oh come on Jesse.” Jack murmured, moving over to them. He had gotten dressed. He then ruffled his hair gently. “...Of course we won’t alwas be here. We all gotta die someday kiddo. But even if we’re not ere physically, that doesn’t mean we’re gone Jesse. all you have to do is just keep our memories alive with you. Keep that with you, and you’ll find comfort and strength in that when you need it the most.” Jack murmured

Jack glanced at Gabe. He sighed. “I know. Sorry.” Jack murmured. He then kissed his cheek before looking down at Jesse. “...Jesse. It’s been a long and emotional day for you. What you need right now is just a long night’s sleep. Once you’re rested up, I promise you’ll feel better.” Jack said, squeezing his shoulder. “So why don’t you go lay down Jesse? Don’t worry about Moira or Talon or anything. Just relax for the night. Ws’ll Deal with everything else.” Jack said
