Noctis glanced down at their  hands.. he smiled and looked ahead. He stopped however when a man approached them. Gladio stopped as well, eyeing him. “I’m afraid you’re out of luck.” The man said, glancing at them. He had reddish hair and was wearing a hat and a long sleeved jacket. Gladio frowned.

“Yeah? Why’s that?” He asked. The man blinked.

“The boats bring you here. Yet they’ll not take you forth. All shops have been suspended for now.” He said. Noctis frowned, eyeing the male. He had seen him before. He watched as the other walked past them. “This cease fire is getting us nowhere.” He said. Gladio frowned.

“Who are you?” Gladio asked. The other turned to them.

“I’m an impatient traveler, ready to turn ship. A man of no consequence.” He said. He then waved them off with a hand. His gaze lingered in Noct for a few seconds longer before he turned and started walking off again.

Ignis fixed his glasses and scowled. "you could tell us your name before gladio breaks your nose."

He glanced back at them. He took off his hat and gave a small bow, though it seemed half hearted. “Ardyn Izunia, at your service.” He said. Gladio frowned.

“The imperial chancellor.” Gladio murmured. Ardyn then set his hat back on his head.

“Oh you don’t have to worry about me, boys. I’ll not hold you up.” He said

prompto seemed to shrink into noct, staring up at the male with huge eyes. it was obvious he freaked prompto out. Ignis frowned and narrowed his eyes. "move along, then!"

Noctis frowned, eyeing him. He watched as Ardyn smirked. “My you’re certainly hostile. You should be glad. After tonight there will be peace between our two kingdoms.” Ardyn said. Noctis narrowed his eyes. His hand twitched a bit.

he scowled. "again. as i said, move along." he hissed.

He bowed. “As you wish. Good luck in your wedding, Prince Noctis.” He siad. He then turned and started off. Noctis frowned. This...Was in his dream. So what he saw...That was real. That had to be real. A vision of what’s to come.

Noctis froze, his eyes widening. That meant Insomnia...The imperials would attack it tonight! And it was Ardyn’s idea. He was the reason Insomnia fell. The reason his father died. The reason Noct had to die to save his friends.

Noctis suddenly summoned his sword. He then warp striked over to Ardyn. Ardyn quickly summoned a sword as well, turning quickly to Noct. He blocked Noct’s attack with his own sword, eyeing him. Noctis narrowed his eyes.

prompto squawked. "noctis!"

Ardyn frowned. “What’s with this sudden agession, your highness?” He asked. Noctis narrowed his eyes.

“I know what you’re planning.” Noctis hissed. Gladio frowned. He moved to try and grab Noctis off of Ardyn, but Noctis quickly summoned a shield around them. Gladio frowned.

“Noct! Stop!” Gladio hissed. Ardyn glanced at Noct.

“It would be wise to do as he says, your masjesty.” Ardyn said, eyeing him. “It’s nkt time yet for us to battle.” He ssid, lowering his voice so only noct coukd Hear. Noctis narrowed his eyes.

“Yeah. I know. But it’s not going to come to that.” Noctis said. He then took a step back, swinging his sword at Ardyn again. Ardyn blocked the swing again and roughly kicked Noctis in the stomach, causing him to skid back a bit and fall down. He gritted his teeth. Ardyn eyed him, taking a step towards him.

“Do calm yourself, your highness. Would be a shame if any harm befell your home and family.” Ardyn said. He then turned, walking off. Noctis watched him leave, a hand on his stomach. His hand clenched into a fist.

prompto hisssd and quickly drew his guns, aiming at ardyn.
