the next morning, for some strange reason, nikki wasn’t woken by max groaning about not wanting to get up. sue had sat up, looking over to his bed, and.. he was gone. she rubbed her eyes for a minute before jumping out of bed. “neil! max is missing!” she squawked.

[peridot.]

Neil blinked and shifted when he heard Nikki, before shooting up in a panic. Looking around, the tall male squeaked, "Oh my god! Where is he?"

[dannychan]

she scowled. “if i knew, he wouldn’t be missing!” she said and rushed out of the tent. “max!” she yelled.

[peridot.]

Neil frowned and jumped up, quickly bolting after Nikki and shouting loudly, "Maaaax, where are you?" He sounded slightly panicked. What if David had said no and Max had decided to run away? Or if he had tripped and hurt himself or something? His panic only grew, and he rushed around. Meanwhile, David frowned when he heard panicked yelling coming from outside. Slowly sitting up, he glanced out before gently nudging Max, "Max? Your friends are looking for you.."

[dannychan]

max groaned and rubbed his eyes. “go tell them i’m sleeping.” he muttered and nuzzled into his pillow.

[peridot.]

David blinked before chuckling and getting to his feet. He moved out to where Nikki and Neil was, and said softly, "Guys, why are you yelling?" Neil said, eyes wide, "Cause Max is missing!! Have you seen him?" David sighed and nodded, saying quietly, "Yeah, he's sleeping in the cabin. I let him spend the night with me since I adopted him and he was dort of overwhelmed."

[dannychan]

nikki paused and gasped. “oh my god! you said yes! oh, it’s like a marriage proposal but he wants you to be his dad!!”

[peridot.]

Neil frowned and seemed to relax, saying softly, "Alright, as long as he's okay.  I'm, uhm, I'm glad you said yes." David nodded a bit and said, looking between them, "I wouldn't quite put it like that, but yeah, I said yes. I'm gonna take care of him."

[dannychan]

nikki smiled. “good! if you didn’t, i’d have to kill you!”

/maybe the next morning?? Maybe Neil and Nikki panicked a little when they realized Max wasn't in the tent and they weren't sure where he was??
