  She had to take a second to let that register. "Wha? A war?" She blinked and furrowed her eyebrows, her amazed look gone. "...what war?"

IC: Leyko looked at Rei. "There are people, who think that the people with powers are a monster and should be locked away and experimented on." She said thinking back to when she was younger. "That's why I have to be careful when I use my powers," Leyko said with a small sigh.

  Rei nodded, quickly understanding.
  "That's sad," she muttered, trailing off. "You could be a secret superhero or something and help people... I bet."
  Holding her chin, she tried to think. She didn't want their conversation to end so soon, but she did want to help. "How big of a war is it?" she asked, blinking.
  If Rei knew nothing, maybe it was more of an underground war and Leyko wasn't in that much danger, but then again... Rei wasn't usually up-to-date with the news...
  Rei had never known people could have powers, though, so maybe it was a secret war, and it was staying a secret on purpose.
  "Did you say secret society? Can I..." She paused, immediately waving her hands in front of her face. "Well, I mean, if it's not too much trouble-- I don't want to be nosy or pry! But I also do want to help! Is there any way I can do that? I won't tell anyone! I promised!"

Leyko looked at Rei. "I don't know, I can talk to the leader of the secret society." She said. "But it will not be easy I can tell you that, since most people with powers don't even talk to normal people." Leyko added thinking about how many others were captured and experimented on.

"Oh, sure! Of course!" Wringing her hands a bit, she looked away, then looked back. "I guess you all know each other, huh? And I'm just curious, so of course I'm not part of it, but... I think those powers really are cool! Why don't we exchange phone numbers in case you ever want to, uh, talk?"
  This Rei was probably turning out to be drastically different from her initial description, but at least the heart was still there.

Leyko nodded. "Sure." She said pulling out her phone. Leyko looked through her phone for her number and soon came across of it. "Its, (236) 343-6699." Leyko said as she smiled. She felt that she actually had a friend for once that she could tell things to without worry.
