Sherlock blinked. He fell silent for a moment. "You're not the first to assume that and most likely won't be the last. The press are already claiming us to be a couple. They may think as they wish. But to me, only the cases matter. I don't have time for showing compassion or sentiment." Sherlock said. He blinked.

"I imagine John Watson thinks love is a mystery to me, but the chemistry is incredibly simple and very destructive. You should never let your heart rule your head. I've always assumed love is a dangerous disadvantage....And John Watson was the final proof of that." Sherlock murmured.

he hummed softly. "that is where you're wrong, mr. holmes. human emotion is essential. without anxiety, you'd have no sense of fear, or caution. you would wander into situations that could kill you. love may just be a chemical reaction, but it is still important, as it helps you feel sympathy, with gets you on the good side of people you don't want to be on the bad side of." he explained, leading him to the dinner table. "will knows first hand what trying to be emotionless gets you. it gets you pain and suffering, and when you ask for help, no one will because you've ruined it. he's lucky i was around." he gently set a hand on will's head.

Will glanced at Hannibal. He nodded before looking at Sherlock. "Doesn't hurt to let the walls down every now and then. Lets people know youre not an emotionless dick all the time." Will said. Sherlock blinked.

"Hmm. Better that I remain this way, but thanks for the advice." Sherlock murmured.

he hummed. "incorrect again, but anyways.. take a seat and i'll bring out dinner. you too, will."

Sherlock blinked. "Oh, I didn't come here for food. I was just making sure you're ok." He said

he blinked and stared at him for a long moment. "you ought to eat anyways. you're dangerously thin."

/will should be like "don't argue man"

Will watched him. "Sherlock when did you last eat?" He asked. Sherlock glanced over at him.

"Around three days ago but this is a normal routine for me." Sherlock murmured. Will frowned.

"That's not healthy, Mr. Holmes. You could end up fainting from hunger. I don't think that would be very good if you're passing out on cases." will said.

hannibal scowled and looked at sherlock. "sit down. you're staying for dinner."

Will blinked, watching as Sherlock let out a defeated sigh and moved over, sitting down. Will sat down as well. "...You and Hannibal seem fairly close." Sherlock said, keeping his voice a bit low. Will nodded.

"We are. He's...Been my only friend who really understands me. I'm not exactly what people call normal, and neither is he. So it's been nice having someone around who understands what I've been through. We help each other out." Will said. He glanced at Sherlock. "Then again, you know what that's like, don't you Mr. Holmes? To be an outcast. To be called a freak. To be shunned by society...That's why you're close to John Watson, is it not? He's the only one who's never judged you." Will said.

Sherlock blinked, staying silent. He glanced away from will.

hannibal hummed. "alright, boys. will, stop psychoanalysing people." he said moved off the grr the players of food and such.
