Jesse stopped walking when he heard Gabe. He turned to him. "Yes sir?" he asked, looking him over. He looked a bit confused. "Shouldn't you be with Jack right now? You just found out you're a father, You should be celebrating with him." He said.

He blinked. "Oh. Okay uh...Go ahead." He said. He shifted a bit, seeming a bit uncomfortable, but he didn't say anything.

He glanced down. He laughed softly to himself, although it seemed a bit broken. "...I'm not, Reyes. You and the others, you say I am. And while that's nice to hear, I'm not part of any family. The only ones I considered my family or were my family are gone now." He said. "My mother, my sister...My girlfriend and unborn child, they're all gone. So no, I'm not part of your family. I'm alone. And it's better it stays that way." he said.

he frowned and pulled jesse into a hug. "you're family whether you like it or not believe it or not, i've started thinking of you as a sort of sun.. and i was thinking maybe you'd like to be the baby's godfather." he said. "don't tell jack because i haven't told him that last part yet."
