Johannes was dressed lightly, but clearly armed. This was a peaceful mission, but he wasn't taking chances. Lately he'd felt the more precautions, the better. Katja was smart and he doubted she wanted any trouble, but they'd not parted on great terms. Part of him wanted nothing more than to spend hours with her, just--talking, or something. Half of him wanted to carry this out like business, and that was what he planned to do. They weren't bringing much with them--Katja had wanted this to be more a meeting of diplomacy, but the trade was necessary. That meant smoked meat, it meant rabbit pelts. Johannes had gone through his personal collection of books, and he'd spoken with Dahlia to find what they had medically speaking that was in surplus.
He waited by the border for those who would accompany him, his eyes scanning the horizon. The journey there was downhill, but getting back would as always, be far more tiring.

Instead of slipping on something warmer, he merely slid out of the lodge and made his way to where the shorter dictator was. He was going stircrazy in here, and honestly he just needed to get out there... even if it was heavy and manual labor, he needed to be anywhere but the stuffy lodge surrounded by adorable fluffy guilt tripping bunnies. "Johannes!" He realized his voice was a bit harsh as he yelled across the gap that he was clearing.
"Er-sir." He added trying to soften his harsh tone. "I.. I'd like to come with you? I know ya don't have much reason to trust me, but I'm going crazy cooped up in there." Drew spoke quickly, trying to get all he could out before Johannes cut him off. "I'll do anything yer want, just please let me come with."
Narin jogged over, and like the other two she was dressed moderately lightly; it was decent weather, though she did miss the warm days on the beachside back when she was a lone agent.
She jogged up to the two, watching curiously as Drew pleaded with Johannes. She didn't know either of them that well, and she had no idea the events leading up to this situation, but it looked like it'd be interesting nonetheless.
"Ready to head out, boss." Narin said as she played with the straps of her backpack. She wasn't bringing anything to trade, but she wasn't letting those precious cans of peaches she had found before joining out of her sight.
Johannes levelled a glare at Drew, and snorted. "After you cussed out their messengers, and called their leader--my sister, I might add--what was it? A dying dog? I'm pretty sure there was more involved. You think I want to deal with that when we're trying to smooth that over, in their territory? You can keep working in the infirmary. Or the greenhouse. Or somewhere. You're not going to St. Peters." He was still quite mad at Drew--and honestly, even when he got over his anger, he still didn't know how much he could trust someone who's outbursts seemed uncontrollable. He knew he wasn't the most diplomatic leader, but he didn't just verbally assault anyone he disagreed with.
He glanced over to Narin, eyes a bit wide with surprise--she was one of the newest Lodgers and he was both wary of her joining and a bit pleased. of course, her professional demeanor could be hiding something else--Drew had certainly seemed professional when he'd joined--but he wasn't going to confine her to the lodge when he hadn't had a chance to see how she worked. "Good. I want a couple more people--at least one--but we'll be leaving soon." He paused, glancing over at Drew. "We need this to go...well. Diplomatically speaking." He swallowed. "We can't risk a....a bad relationship with--with them."

Gray shuffled over not long after the others, dressed how he always was - boots, hoodie and jeans - with his hands where they usually were, in his pockets. He eyed Narin and Drew as he fell in beside Joh. Gray was... not a diplomatic person in the least, but he wanted to see St Peters - and Advay - and didn't trust Narin alone with Joh. Drew... wasn't going to be allowed to go with them, the Dictator was making that clear. "Ready when you are, Chief." He muttered, fingering the bills in his pocket. Once upon a time currency like this had value, but now he could only hope that someone in St Peters collected it like he did. Someone with ammo, preferably. He wasn't keen on giving this up for anything else.

He was willing to take full blame, mostly because, well, he really was to blame here. The man frowned slightly and folded his arms in front of him. "I just, I'd like to apologize... not just to their Legislator, but to the two guys I yelled at too. I was way outta line." He also wanted to get his old medical supplies and some of his books, not to mention Arlo's dog... and some of his dignity back.
Ooh, so that's what happened. Narin watched with calm amusement at the display, internally noting how he punished Drew. It'd be good to know how their leader worked, especially in situations like this.
Next he addressed her, and she watched him with curiosity. "Alright, sounds fine." She commented on his words about leaving as soon as they got a third member. "And I got it. I'll keep things civil." She added. She wasn't planning on pissing off St. Peters anyways, though she supposed with Drew's previous actions Johannes had to make sure.
"Right." He was glad to see Gray. Hopefully the kid wasn't a loose cannon. Johannes spared Drew another glance, biting his lip and trying to glare more than he felt. "No. Drew--I'm serious about this. If I were just gonna--go back on it the second you said sorry there'd be no fucking point." He felt stupid, standing firm; but he also felt like it was necessary. "Another week and then you're free to do whatever the hell you want. For now stay in the territory." He turned to Narin and Gray, and--he supposed, that made three. It was a small group but enough to ensure they were allies with St. Peters and enough to trade for some essentials. Good.
