[align=center] An updated version of the concepts we currently have as well as suggestions. It is organized by date, in order to make it easy to tell what is recent. However, old concepts will remain here for those who like the original and try to tie it in for a modified concept.
Come back to this later[div style="background:; border: 1px solid; width: 548px;"] Original notes and concepts 8.24 ;
 Tree house center of camp
Tree house is where meetings are held by the leader of Windclan. It is not difficult for those who are young of age or seniors to enter the facility, as the clan is connected to a mountain. Wooden stairs connect the tree house with other huts, houses for Windclan members to reside. The tree house is located on the top of the cliff, surrounded by various other trees in order to camouflage it. There is one way to reach the Tree house, going up the wooden stairs till one reaches the top. It is the third flight, however those with wings are able to easily reach the tree house in seconds.
 Glade surrounding the tree house
The camp itself, a plain where members train, hunt, and reside together. The area has a tree grove, so finding shade on a hot day isn't that much of an issue. Hunting isn't a problem as it was before, since there are more locations to find prey than the standard rabbit running around to find food. Around the glade there are towers erected from the ground built by the first Windclan settlers. These towers function as Look outs, to keep on eye on enemies or any danger lingering. All towers provide a telescope for those without the sight.
 Ceremonies
Behind the tree house where the leader resides there is a secret door only known to the leader. Past that door is a path towards a shrine. On the way various flora and herbs can be found, only the medic is allowed to come for said herbs. However, there is a separate pathway for the medics in order to arrive to the hidden location. Yes hidden, it can not be found due to the plethora of trees surrounding the tree house, as well as thorns surrounding them. It is possible to get in via force, however it will result in injury. Apprentice, warrior, elder, medic, leader ceremonies are held within different locations of the shrine. The member who is receiving a ceremony is blindfolded as they are brought by the leader for the ceremony. The deputy may also hold them with permission of the leader of course. When the ceremony is done the member must put back on the blindfold as they are escorted out of the hidden location. Once in the main camp the leader will announce publicly what had happen. At that moment the member can take off the blindfold.
 Shrine
Hidden from all except the leader and medic, it serves as a sacred place where ceremonies are held. However, it is not limited to that as the leader is free to use it as they will. The path way leading to the old shrine is a cement one, as humans previously lived resided here. Where are they now? Well the humans had to leave as resources dwindled from the greed of man. Once reaching the top, the area is has a small pound to the right side of the actual shrine. Stepping stones are available to hop across the pond, or to the center where a circular patch of grass with a small rectangular slab of stone. The area can be used to meditate, as numerous fish swim about as well as the pleasant sound of the waterfall behind the leader and mast of a shrine. Behind the water fall is a cave full of various gems attaches to stone. It can be mined for later use.
 Religion
Windclan does not have an official religion, as it has never been stated. Members are free to follow whatever it is that they believe with no consequence. Small statues can be found around camp for those who wish to pray. This may be subjected to change in the future.
 Morals
Never being a aggressive force to reckoned with, Windclan is a neutral clan who seeks to better themselves. Windclan had a firm believe that those who prove themselves worthy earn their trust. Loyalty perhaps, however they will not become slaves to another clan begging them for anything. Pride, all clans have pride. However, Windclan knows when to ask for assistance when needed rather than suffer. Torture, maiming, and murder is frowned upon with the clan. Committing such an act will lead to imprisonment or banishment depending on what the clan has decided. Yes, the clan. Windclan has direct democracy, no officials representing a side or matter. Each member will have to chose from yes, no, or neutral. Whatever side wins then judgement shall be passed.
notes and concepts 9.4 ;
 Hallucinatory gas territory
Windclan is a marvelous place full of splendor for all to see! What is it? Well it's a city. No, a mountain! Oh wait, it's also a palace! Actually it's everything mashed together in a nonsensical world where the possibilities are endless! You may be asking how and why, well it just is! You don't question how, why, or when, right? In one area it may be a palace, and some members owning mansions isn't out of the question. The other area may be a city, with upside down stop signs glowing neon, along with an endless amount of street lights in an array of positions littered about. A true wonderland! The Chief resides in a shrine, which is surrounded by water over looking the clan. Or was it a shrine? Wasn't it a church? Wasn't it the interior of a palace? The world is seemingly endlessly changing. In reality Windclan resides in a abandoned shrine surrounded by woods sheltering the clan from any visitors, along with steep cliffs. However, underneath the shrine had been an underground mine. Said mine contained hallucinatory gas, causing members of Windclan to hallucinate making their wonderland possible. To those visiting it may seem as though the Windclanners have lost it, but after being exposed to the gas for long periods of time, they too will be entranced by the feigned wonderland.

Ways to implement concepts;
 Treehouse
Blue argent has already taken care of that, with the current thread.
 Glade
mm wow wip.
 Ceremonies
Need input.
 Shrine
I don't know what I'm even writing anymore.
 Religion
Hard to implement, due to the simple fact that everyone forgets it, because it is not commonly practiced.
 Morals
Isn't Windclan already like this?

Possible concepts;
 Surrealist City gravity altered submitted by marlux
We move to a surrealist city. gravity is strange here. members live in apartment buildings and condo towers, and the sun never seems to shine... neon lights and thick purple clouds paint the sky, and members are encouraged to use the abandoned store fronts for trade and bartering with other clans. references can include the Splatoon 2 single player and the distortion world from Pokemon platinum.
 No Hallucinogenic gas submitted by marlux
Hallucinogenic gas is scrapped. The mines, the treehouse and plains, and the shrine all go together well. the plains have the treehouse which transition into the woods, where the shrine and mines are. this gives a cohesive world for characters to live in and react to, something that all, not just high characters, can see.
Neutral and iffy Concepts;
 Gas exploration submitted by marlux
Sas is still inside of the mines. logically, wherever there are openings to get into the underground, the gas will leak out. characters are warned not to go down there, where it is dangerous, but some do anyways. there are legends of treasure and gods lurking below, and to seek them out is a rite of passage, perhaps to become a warrior. stay too long, and you'll start hallucinating. few have made it out alive. maybe we can make a big open thread exploring the mines for the first time and this starts the mines' bad rep?

[align=center][color=darkgreen][b][font=times new roman]RIP
i'm going to make a few suggestions here; if this isn't the right place let me know! this is based on the current guide.
about the territory - i love the theme and "mixed bag territory" of sorts, where we have a little bit of everything for our settlements. but i don't think it is practical. in theory this is versatile and allows roleplayers to invent their own homes, and everyone's characters can react to them. but how do outsider characters (and rpers) react to what is basically a group of constantly high people stuck in the mines? the majority of characters would say "whatever" and leave out of fear or disgust. this, in turn, restrains us to inter-clan interaction only. i feel like most potentially interested people will walk away because they find it hard to fit their character into this.
even if you do not take my ideas below, these few sentences are the most important part: the territory blurb on the guide should be changed to state upfront, in the first 3 sentences, that hallucinogenic gas makes all the characters see things that aren't there. some people may only read the first few sentences, and obscuring it to the end may confuse people, or they'll miss it entirely.
a good start may be to change how the territory itself works.
option 1, the hallucinogenic gas is scrapped. instead, i believe we should have a few premade, real and tangible, listed places on the guide.
the mines, the treehouse and plains, and the shrine all go together well. the plains have the treehouse which transition into the woods, where the shrine and mines are. this gives a cohesive world for characters to live in and react to, something that all, not just high characters, can see.
option 2, option one but the gas is still inside of the mines. logically, wherever there are openings to get into the underground, the gas will leak out. characters are warned not to go down there, where it is dangerous, but some do anyways. there are legends of treasure and gods lurking below, and to seek them out is a rite of passage, perhaps to become a warrior. stay too long, and you'll start hallucinating. few have made it out alive. maybe we can make a big open thread exploring the mines for the first time and this starts the mines' bad rep?
the next idea may or may not work well with the name "windclan", but i feel it might be a strong enough idea to pull through. it was enough for me to write it, at least lol
option 3, we move to a surrealist city. gravity is strange here. members live in apartment buildings and condo towers, and the sun never seems to shine... neon lights and thick purple clouds paint the sky, and members are encouraged to use the abandoned store fronts for trade and bartering with other clans. references can include the splatoon 2 single player and the distortion world from pokemon platinum.
i also like the idea of underground paradises, but i have my doubts on that one.
as for what you wrote on this thread:
-the ceremonies sound good! the entrance to the mines would have to be away from the shrine, though, if you want the shrine to be secretive. if not, the mines can go pretty much anywhere then.
-i also like the waterfall idea. i could see it being integrated, but it risks having too many things going on in the territory. things could be sacrificed, though.
phew. i apologize for the long post. if you need me to summarize or answer any questions, i'd love to! and of course, critism and further development of these ideas are welcome. (please excuse any typos, i did this in on my phone. any second now my fingers may fall off)
[align=center][div style="width: 550px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8.5pt; font-family:verdana; line-height: 1.3; margin-top: 1px"]yeah this is horribly outdated, but I'll update it soon. With the more recent concepts, however you could say this was the original outline. It's going to be organized by dates in order to save confusion. Some things might be taken out in order to keep what is still viable.
response to criticism I made the "mixed bag territory" in order for it not to be practical. If that makes any sense. If one were to think about it the world isn't practical in some areas. Why isn't it practical? It just is. That is not to say being practical is by no means wrong. To be practical means restrictions must be made, an aspect of freedom taken away. In a sense I made it impractical for flexibility. Whatever a person wishes to do they are not bound by practical laws, unless the person desires. Technically the clan isn't in a mine, but some worn down polluted town. I get what you're saying though, and i also understand how implementing your character may be difficult.
Noted and I will fix that and make it clear for those who don't read the whole thing to get the gist of it.
I will be taking these ideas and criticisms to heart. I am responding to this, so you don't have to worry. I want to make this a better place for all of us, after all this is a team effort.
option 1 opinon The original is what you are asking for along with some new elements correct? It is indeed a cohesive world for everyone to live in and both those inside and outside the clan can live in and react to it. A more stable practical world that is easy to control.
option 2 opinon Perhaps the most logical for a warrior rite and territory development. It transitions nicely and it could lead to plot development and other types if development. Wolfhaven was a former medic, so it will be easy to state and outlaw the mines. However, does this mean that only members or people in the mines will hallucinate?
option 3 opinon A surrealist city would also be fitting to Windclan, given the fact that it's a more peaceful and knowledge based clan. I actually enjoy this idea a lot and it's the closest to the guide, without the whole hallucination concept. It also has a lot of potential.
underground paradise In the past originally Windclan resided in tunnels. It isn't out of the question for Windclan to be reverting to it's past, however we would have to come up with new ideas regarding what to do and traditions. People can not see the sky, unless granted by the leader.
- the entrance would never be near the mine, so thanks for reminding me
- sacrifices must be taken for the great or good at times
Anyhow, I hope this is sufficient to your suggestion and concepts. (I congratulate you for typing that on your phone, that's no easy feat). Thank you for your time Marlux! Don't hesitate to contribute more if you wish too!
