THE THINGS WE ARE(N'T)

I gave you everything you ever wanted, ever needed, ever asked for.
And this is how you repay me? With a bouquet of lies and a hand-written letter of false promises?
Honestly
I don't want to be a part of your game anymore!
I can't stand this pain, I can't take it anymore!
Go back to Barbie, Luca, she needs you.
The difference between you and I
Is that I can survive
Without the promise of you, of us, tomorrow.
And I know you'll be stuck in some
sort of in-between gray place;
waking up every morning with a knot in your head where your thoughts used to be.
So it's time for you to point(e) your heart in another direction - it's for your own good.
So step into the sunlight of tomorrow where girls with sunshine hair and ocean eyes reside:
A simple manifestation of vanity and narcissism
Finding and loving girls who look like you
(Not me).
Until you let go, you will be constantly reminding yourself of the things you can't have - your virginity back, a normal life -
Me.
It is time for you to stop everything you know, everything that at one time made sense and was as clear as the glass you now cut your feet with every time you step deeper into this mangled web.
The person who are are now
Is not the person that you have been,
Is not the person that you have to be.

Except for the ones that younger to yourself.
The love you tie to me
Is a brick, on your heart, in the sea,
Dragging you down.
You have so much potential: I've seen it, I've heard it, I've been taught it.
So thank you, for that, at least. If nothing else.
But I am tired, Luca.
I am tired of Barbie chastising me for stealing you, her "boyfriend".
A person is not a possession.
I am mine before I am ever anyone else's, yours especially.
I am not something for you to have fun with when you are alone in the middle of the night, when the moon is your only friend.
You are not lost. Stop trying to find yourself.
You have made camp here, and you are overstating your welcome.
It is time for you
To blow out the flame that you dared call "us",
