He smiled, sitting down as well. He seemed to relax a bit

for about an hour, they sat in complete silent before there was a 'mrrrow!' and the sound of tomeyhing knocking into one of his orbs sounded. the soft jingle that came from them made the omnic look up to see a cat. you see- he had never actually seen a cat besides online- and now it was playing with one of his golden orbs. he reached out to retrieve it, only to be hissed at. he made a strangled noise and withdrew. "genji." he saidnsoftly.

Genji chuckled to himself. "What? It's just a cat." he said, looking down at it. He smiled, gently holding out a hand to the cat. "Hey boy. How are you doing?" Genji asked softly.

the cat looked at his hand before moving to rub against him. he retrieved the orb while he could, tossing it back into orbit around his neck. he watched genji and the cat interact before nervously reaching and touching the cages back.

He smiled, scratching behind the cat's ear. "Hmm. I've never seen this cat around here before." He said.

he blinked. "i.. kind of want to keep it.."

He blinked, smirking. "You sure? They become attached easily." He said. "They're very needy animals too." He said.

he blinked and nodded. "it's cute." he said quietly and scooped it up, holding it in one are and petting its belly. "everyone else seems to have a pet. you and your brother have the dragon spirit, jack has daisy, reaper has his lizard, and lena has winston but he's technically a team mate.."

He blinked, watching him. He smiled. "Alright, if you want to keep it that's fine." He said.

he hummed. "i think i will call it checkers." he said and the dots on his head shone brightly.
