Wind buffeted Ahzivari‘s black fur, knitting it sand tangling it. At least, parts that were not covered. This includes most of her face. A dull sigh escaped her maw as she was looking for her target in this cold, cold town. That’s when screaming pierced the air and people rushed past her, screaming about bloodsuckers and vampires.

Palivan had been patrolling the tiny guard platform at the front of the town when he heard the screams. He spun around, the biting wind against his back now, immediately nocking an arrow and pulling the string back as he scanned what he could see of the town from where he stood. Other guards were moving toward the commotion when one of their own was thrown back at them from behind a house, knocking several of them over. The Bosmer held his breath, waiting for the attacker to round the corner. When they did, he released the arrow and it sailed into their shoulder. He didn't wait for their reaction, vaulting over the half wall on the platform and rolling when he hit the ground. Swinging his bow around, he readied another arrow as the vampire he hit snapped the arrow stuck in its shoulder, throwing the bit of wood and steel to the side and snarling at the archer-guard. Palivan wasn't aware of another vampire making its way around the building he crouched beside, planning to ambush the Bosmer and take him out.

The snapping of arrows, the clashing of swords, even the sounds of spells being cast erupted in Ahzivari’s wars. They twitched somewhat, the Khajiit having to focus on the scenes in front of her. Vampires. Such lazy, sloppy murderers. She couldn’t care if they drank and fed on people, that was fine. But, she did not like when they attacked people for no reason. Who knew? She could have a contract for them later on! That was getting rid of her profits. Plus, to a standard, she held children and guards to a higher one due to a child’s innocence and a guard’s protection.
As she was somehow managing to sneak around, she saw the vampire making their way around the building, and attempted to sneak behind them and stab them before they could get to the Bosmer.

The screech of the vampire killed by the assassin was unsettling to Palivan. He'd no idea they were there, ready to attack him while he was distracted by the first. Before he could let whoever's efforts go to waste, he pulled the string back and shut one eye. As he anticipated, the vampire attempted to outmaneuver the archer and unfortunately for the vampire, it was a feign-attack that Palivan had learned to master for close up bow attacks. Just as the vampire went right, he adjusted quickly and sent the arrow flying before the attacker had time to backtrack. It lodged itself in their heart, jolting them back before they fell over. The wood elf stood, reaching for his sword now as he flipped his bow over his shoulder and into the wood clip that held it against his back. He would find whoever helped him after the immediate threat on his town was delt with.

The assassin watched in a somewhat large amount of awe, surprised at how much training the young Bosmer got. She moved around, her moves quick, agile, yet stealthy as she slashed two vampires that came her way. As much as she wanted to do this alone, and search for her target, she couldn’t. â€ÂÂHey! You need help clearing them up?†The Khajiit yelled.

Pali glanced at the feline creature, raising his hand, palm up as if he presenting the town to a newcomer. "All the help we can get would be appreciated." Without seeing whether she really followed or not, he turned and ran toward the rest of the commotion. One vampire had gotten a hold of a child and the Bosmer lunged forward, running his sword through the thing's heart. He reached forward, grabbing the back of the child's shirt and pulling them to him before they fell over. The elven man glanced down at the child long enough to see wide eyes filled with awe before they were pulled away by their worrying mother, who thanked Palivan profusely even as he was already moving on to the next invader.

A snicker escaped the felid-humanoid as he “presented†the town to her. â€ÂÂGot it, bud. I’ll try to help make this as quick as possible.†Ahzivari chuckles, before following the Bosmer guard, only to lose him through a small group of vampires. She had to act quickly, and admittedly, a little overpowered, by stabbing one of them through the heart and the tossing the body over the other two. Unlike the thanks given to Palivan, she was given sneers and gloated. She responded with a hiss, before seeing the mother and child, and turning to Pali. â€ÂÂAny clue where the next one is?â€ÂÂ

Palivan grabbed at the vampire he was going after, who was trying to run away. They were much more cowardly than they put on and quite selfish. Twisting their collar, he tugged them to him and pierced their heart. He let them drop at his feet as he looked toward Ahzivari, "They'll start running by now, I think. Try the perimeter of the town. They may be retreating, but they can't be given the chance to attack again." With that, he moved again, sprinting toward the rest of the guards.

Did he... Just tell her what to do?! Ahzi let out a small huff, twirling the dagger in her paws. He had already left when the dark-furred Khajiit was going to call out to him. The assassin bolted off, running around the perimeter, checking for vampires. Eventually she met up with him. â€ÂÂKhajiit sees no vampires.â€ÂÂ

Palivan slid his sword back into its scabbard, patting the shoulder of a guard he'd just been checking on. "No scratches?" he asked, clarifying that his fellow guards were not hurt. They were mostly out of breath now and split off to calm the citizens and clean up the mess. The elf turned to the khajiit and nodded. "I think they've all cleared out by now..." he glanced around him at the bodies being removed. "Or they're dead." He turned back to the khajiit and smiled slightly, extending his hand, "Thank you for your help... what's your name?"
