"So...Back in your time, did you ever own slaves?" Dean asked, watching him

he blinked and nodded. "five of them. they practically raised me, so.. they were like family. my wife convinced me to give them freedom a year before the war.. but they all ended up staying, helping me on my tobacco far. nearly went broke trying to pay them all." he said and smiled slightly.
