he smiled slightly. "what are their names?" he asked, wanting to see shane smile and hear him talk.

Shane knew immediately what the other was doing, but he sighed and said quietly, "Uhm, Terry, Eli, Mary, Polly, and Kyle."

Idk if their chickens have actual names so /shrug

his shoulders slouched slightly and he hesitated. "how are the pepper poppers?" he asked.

He said softly after a moment, glancing down and popping one int his mouth, "They're good, thank you." Shane didn't really seem... particularly comfortable.

he sighed slightly and looked at jas. "so, how has your studying with jodie been?"
he asked brightly and she started to talk quietly, twiddling her little thumbs.

He blinked and glanced over at Jas, listening to her talk silently as he ate. He seemed... calm. Not really happy, but calm.

Shane blinked at Daniel before looking down, saying softly as he awkwardly moved his hands, "Yeah, well, it wasn't exactly like I couldn't..."

he sat down and hummed. "so, how are the animals, marnie?" he asked. she smiled. "the cows are just fine! shane mostly deals with the chickens."

"The chickens are fine. Happy. Cute." He said, chewing on his lip and smiling just a tiny bit.
