he smiled. "hi." he greeted and handed him the cup. "your usual." he said and hummed.

[peridot.]

Claus was watching silently as he worked as Ness hummed and thanked Lucas happily, handing him the money. Ness then said softly, taking a sip of his drink, "I, uh, I kinda actually have something for you. A gift."

[dannychan]

he blinked. "oh uh.. thanks? you didn't have to.." he said, glancing nervously at his brother.

[peridot.]

Claus' eyebrows went up, and a slow smirk spread over his face as he mouthed the words 'I told you so'. Ness, however, didn't seem to notice, reaching into his backpack and pulling out a small pink flower crown. He handed it over the counter to Lucas, saying softly, "I remember you mentioning these were your favorite kind of flower, so.."

[dannychan]

he stared at it and hesitated. "uh.." his voice cracked and suddenly tears filled his eyes. "th.. thanks." he whispered, taking it slowly and quickly rushing it into the back.

[peridot.]

Ness blinked and frowned, saying softly, "Wait, Lucas..." Claus frowned as well, and he gave Ness a little 'wait' motion, heading into the back.

[dannychan]

lucas had sat down on the cot and was sobbing into his hands softly, trembling.

[peridot.]

Claus frowned and went over to the cot, saying softly as he gently reached out for his brother, "Lucas, what's wrong....? Why are you crying...?"

[dannychan]

he flinched away, his sobbing only getting worse. "j-ja-j-jack.." he said through his tears.

[peridot.]

He rolled his eyes, saying softly, "Sure you aren't." He then went to go heat up the equipment, humming softly. It was then that Ness finally came in, humming and going through his wallet for the cash for his usual. He waved at Lucas, saying softly, "Hey!"
