He blinked, looking up at him. He sighed. "I know. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I just...Wish there was a way where we didn't have to keep losing our comrades." He said.

"As do I Jesse." Gabriel said, entering the room. Jesse blinked, looking over at him. Gabriel looked down at him. "It's never easy losing them. There are times where we're lucky and everyone comes back alive. But more often then not, we lose some. That's just the cost of war. If there was a way to save everyone, we would do that. But we can't." Gabriel said. He sighed. "Once they're gone, the only thing you can do is keep them in your mind and make sure they're never forgotten. They died for us and the others. So continue working hard to make sure their sacrifices weren't for nothing." Gabe said.

Jesse blinked. He nodded. "Yes sir." He said.

he smiled slightly at Gabe and looked at jesse. "oh, and, i'm always open to giving hugs if you need them."

Jesse glanced at him. He stifled a slight smile. "Never knew you were the type." He said. Gabriel chuckled, slinging an arm around Jack's shoulders.

"You kidding me? This guy is nothing but a big softy on the inside when he's not putting on that commander front." He said.

he chuckled. "i think i've given Gabe more hugs than i've done paper work in the past week." he chuckled.

Gabriel smirked. "Eh, I wouldn't go that far. You seem pretty obsessed with paperwork." He said, ruffling his hair. He then looked at Jesse. "Don't let his looks fool you, kid. He's a sweetheart." He said.

Jesse let out a quiet chuckle. "If anything, you're more intimidating to look at, Reyes." he said. Gabriel smirked.

"Well, I've got an image to keep up. If I don't look intimidating how are the others actually going to take me seriously?" He asked.

“Yeah? And how cute is it when I do this?” He asksd, suddenly pulling Jesse into a hug. Jesse let out a slight surprised yelp
