It was a while later. Sherlock had fisnihed the tests and they were now waiting for the results. They were inna room. Lestrade has ended up sticking around. He was currently leaning against the wall, his arms folded across his chest. Sherlock was looking daon, his knee bouncing a bit in anticipation. Sherlock glanced over at John.

He knew this was bad for him. But this must be horrible for John. He couldn’t imagine what was going through his mind right now

john really just appeared calm, sitting in a chair near sherlock and staring off into space, however, in his head, he was having a full on melt down. he glanced at sherlock and smiled softly, setting a hand on his knee. "if it makes you feel better, i didn't see anything on the scans when i glanced at them." he said gently.

Sherlock blinked, looking John over. He raised his hand, gently placing it on John’s cheek. He brushed his thumb along John’s cheek before wrapping his arm around John’s shoukder. He pulled him close, resting his chin on the top of John’s head.

“You don’t have to put up a strong front around me or Lestrade, John.” He whisoered.

he blinked and sighed. "yes i do. you're both wimps." he teased.

Sherlock placed a soft kiss to his head. “If anyone is the wimp, it’s George.” He siad.

“Greg, Sherlock.” Lestrade murmured, watching him. Sherlock glanced at him, nodding. Sherlock glanced over however when the door opened. He spotted the doctor. The doctor glanced at them.

“Hello you three.” The doctor said. The doctor looked at them. “I’m afraid I have some bad news.” He said. “Mr. Holmes, we found a tumor in your brain. And from the blood work we took and the scans, all signs are pointing to stage four brain cancer.” He said.

Sherlock was silent for a momemt. Lestrade’s eyes widened and he let out a slight shaky breath. Sherlock glanced down. “...And are there any treatments we can attempt?” He askes.

“We can try chemo and radiation. I can’t promise that they will be very effective at this point however.” The doctor said. “...Judging by how it looks now, I can estimate maybe a year left for you.” The doctor said. Sherlock stared at the doctor before looking down. He was at a loss for words.
