The dragon stopped when he felt Ullr touch his leg. He turned his head, looking down at him.

he pat the dragon gently. “atreus.” he said.

Atreus moves over to them. He glanced up at the dragon

he nodded. “tell the dragon it was just minor being bad st talking.”

Atreus nodded. He then started talking to the dragon. The dragon let out a low rumbling sound, but relaxed a bit. After a minute, it looked the others over. "My apologies. I was not aware the other could not speak my language." The dragon said, its voice deep and booming. Atreus looked at him, his eyes wide.

"You can speak?" He asked. The dragon nodded.

"I can." He said. "I prefer using my own language. But I can settle for this." The dragon said.

his eyes widened. “oh.” he breathed and smiled. “i guess comparing you to a puppy wasn’t quite correct..”

The dragon let out a slight laugh. "No, it was not. But if that's what you wish to compare me to, I won't have any complaints." He said. Atreus looked him over.

"...How did you get injured before?" Atreus asked. The dragon fell silent for a moment.

"I was attempting to free another dragon from captivity. However, it appears that the other dragon misunderstood my intentions and ended up attacking me." He said. Atreus frowned.

"Oh...Was it a friend of yours?" Atreus asked. The dragon shook its head.

"No. I've never seen him before." He said. "It was not even a fire dragon." he said.

"...I don't remember seeing any fire breathing dragons on the journey I went on with my father." Atreus said. The dragon lowered his head slightly.

"That's because I am the last of my kind." He said

“They were all killed off. They were a target to all races.” He said. He glanced away. “And it was all do senseless reasons.” He growled
